This may be a record. It has taken me five days to complete this photograph!
I don’t usually log in during the week, but with The Liaison Collaborative having just opened and Winter Solstice in the Mystic Realms opening tomorrow, I have been overwhelmed with delicious goodies! Rather than getting into a panic this weekend trying to do tons of photos, I thought I would pop in for an hour or so each night to get some extra pictures taken.
But, once I started unboxing, I discovered that I wasn’t going to be able to simply slip into an outfit and pop out a few props. The set actually took me two-and-a-half nights to build, half to shoot, one to collect the credits (!!!) and finally tonight to process the photo and write the post. All up, this has taken me about eight hours to complete. I could have skipped work today – I have put in the overtime already!
I’m not sure where to start with everything I love in this photo. You are going to have to dig through the credits to unearth all of the amazingness yourself, but I wanted to point out just a few things…
I’m going to start with the dress I am wearing from !gO! at The Liaison Collaborative. The dress itself is just incredible – a simple A-line dress with a square neckline, applique details and slit handkerchief skirt, all in a tastefully glimmery fabric. Then add this sexy but sophisticated boa, and you have the ultimate Christmas dress. You may even decide to save it for New Year’s Eve – it’s just that glamorous! I decided I needed a more cosmopolitan skin, so I packed up my freckles and went with tone 5 of the amara beauty Jewel head and body appliers, coming to Winter Solstice in the Mystic Realms and settled on this saucy little bob with poinsettia combs from adoness, also coming to Winter Solstice in the Mystic Realms.
As for the decor, the highlight for me is the fireplace, Christmas tree, candles, card string and crate with books from {e}lusive, available at The Liaison Collaborative. I received an IM from the creator, Dema Fairport, asking if I would be interested in blogging the set. She explained that ” I am a new builder and this set is literally my debut into the world of mesh home and garden items.”
What? Huh? NEW builder? This stuff is amazing!
The tree is a bibliophile’s dream, the fireplace is amazing with all of those shelves just begging to to be stuffed full of…stuff! The fire itself is perfect – not smoky, not too flickery, just the type of fire that you want to curl up in front of and snuggle with a cup of cocoa and your sweetheart. The same can be said of the candles, which give off just the right amount of glow.
I could go on, but I’ll stop here. Do take a close look at all of the beautiful things just waiting for you to pick up at these events.
