What can I say? I would probably be a Crazy Cat Lady if my one little darling wasn’t such a princess who shows disdain for any other feline. But that didn’t stop me from loading up on these precious creatures to decorate my Second Life home. In case you are one of the two or three people who haven’t yet seen them, they are from Jian at The Winter Gacha Festival. Look at that little sweetie digging her claws into my new boots from fri.day! And that tiny imp peeping at me from around the corner of the fireplace from Nefarious Invention. I guess it’s only fitting that two of the wee creatures are trying to enjoy milk and breakfast from Jian (although the delicious food items are available at Wayward Market).

All in all, I think my Christmas will be merry with the meowing and purring of my newest little friends 🙂

1 A Winter's Eve sm

I’m sorry for the delay in posting the interior of the 22769 ~ [bauwerk] Little Winter Cottage (Snowtop) by Paco Pooley, available at Wayward Market Dec. 12, 2015 – Jan. 10, 2016. I just couldn’t quite get the photo to look the way I envisioned it. Two days and several hours later, here it is.

There are so many things in this room that I love – the decor, the furnishings, the puppies and the footie pajamas (although they are called Onesies by The Annex, if you’re shopping for them at Christmas on 34th Street). Many of the items come from Wayward Market and Christmas on 34th Street, so you can easily recreate this scene without having to jump all over the grid.

Be sure to check the credits for those other treasures to be found at other shops and events. You can while away your own winter’s eve.

1 A Winter's Day sm

I feel like I’ve been on the top of Santa’s Nice List the last couple of weeks. In addition to Christmas on 34th Street opening last week, the December version of Wayward Market has just opened the gates for even more holiday shopping.

While I don’t usually take wide angle photos, when I saw the Little Winter Cottage from 22769 ~ [bauwerk], I knew I wouldn’t be able to get away with just using a room of the house in my photos. It is just so perfect! It comes in both a snow-capped an no snow version, so you can use it all year round.

I started adding landscaping and external decorations, but realised the atrium couldn’t be photographed bare. So I had to fill it up, too. Which led to another set of photos, showing the interior. I was going to blog both outside and inside today, but I decided I will dedicate a separate post to the indoors. Stay tuned for that one in the next day or two.

I tried to create a picture postcard type scene; I hope I was able to convey the spirit of the season with this shot. I wish you all the blessings of this special time of year, the joy that can be found on a winter’s day.
