It’s A Kn0ck0ut!

1 Knox_021A

Well, it’s been a while since you’ve seen a post about my family! A while back, I did photos for my sister, Mandy. I was going to do photos for her husband, Knox (Kn0ck0ut), but with our crazy schedules, I just got the opportunity to do them yesterday.

Knox has a great avatar. His skin and shape just lend themselves to photos. I truly enjoyed adjusting lighting and angles to capture his masculinity. And there was never any doubt in my mind it would come through in his photos.

I’ve decided to do a gallery so you can see more of his photos without this post being a mile long. You can click the photos for a larger version.

Like I told Knox, doing guys is hard. Erm…I mean, shooting photos of guys is difficult! But I think he’s a total Kn0ck0ut in these photos, if I do say so myself! 😀

Dina

Dina contacted me after she saw another client’s photos. She was so excited, we didn’t even set up a confirmed time for her appointment! But we managed to connect the following day, and I met her for the first time when she arrived at my studio.

When I saw her, the first thing I thought was how dramatic her photos would be with her bright, white hair. I found myself focusing on that as I shot her photos. I wanted to show off her sensuality, but also bring in an element of softness.

The results:

1 Dina_010_021softA

1 Dina_010_040PKA

It’s always harder for me to photograph someone I don’t know. I am a “mood photographer”, and sometimes I have to just go with the feeling I get from someone I haven’t spent time with. I hope I have captured the essence of what makes Dina who she is.

Single Frame Stories: Weapon – When She’s Smiling

1 Weapon03

There is no weapon in the feminine armory to which men are so vulnerable as they are to a smile.
~ Dorothy Dix

I’m not a big weapon person. I learned to shoot a shotgun when I was young because my Dad believed if there was one in the house, we should know how to use it. I never did, beyond my lessons. I don’t role play in Second Life (although I did have a brush once with James Bond and a zombie or two), so my choices were limited for a prop for this week’s Single Frame Stories prompt: Weapon.

So I turned to the best thing I had in my arsenal: my smile 🙂
