He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Plucking petals is a perplexing way to determine a passionate dalliance. But perhaps it is as scientific as any other type of chemistry.

I am having fun with the poses from Pose Fair 2017. To stage this scene, I combined two poses: the base pose is part of the Angel seat from Artis and the hand and face position is created by adding one of the Bento poses from [addme.]. I am loving the ability to customise poses that Bento has brought to the grid. It is the difference between having a good shot become a perfect one.

I missed last month’s Luxe Box, so I made sure to get in early for April, and I wasn’t disappointed. I adore this ponytail from Moon. Hair. and the jumpsuit from ISON is typically sublime. While you can see little of the skybox from hive in the photo, it is one of my favourites from this subscription box. Don’t be surprised if you see it featured again.

Pose Fair 2017 has opened today and this is the opportunity every photographer should be taking to find the poses that make every picture shine. This event showcases not only the known posemakers in Second Life, but is a chance to discover some exceedingly talented newcomers – or new-to-you creators.

Every year I seem to find at least one posemaker I wasn’t familiar with, and that holds true for this year, as well. Artis is a brand I hadn’t heard of before, but Tamara Artis creates beautifully natural yet seductive poses. One of her Pose Fair Exclusives is “Caged.” While the concept of using a cage for poses isn’t new, what I love about this set is the feeling that each pose brings of a caged animal, resigned to being imprisoned, yet the hope of release is apparent. You just know that if the door is opened the creature will quickly flee her captivity. Lovely poses, and while I didn’t use it myself, Tamara provides a shape that is designed to work best with the pose prop. I noticed this in some of her other work, so I will definitely try one out.

The angle I shot from also helps to highlight the beautiful Rita sandals from fri.day at the current round of Collabor88. I really loved this round, as can be seen from the credits, and these shoes come in a very springy pallete that will work well through the next two seasons. They are very pretty and delicate, yet have enough of a heel to act as a weapon, if needed, during her daring escape.

Celebration Of A Misty Morning

The mist rolls in off the ocean, muffling the sound of the surf as it washes against the shore. The far off cry of the seagulls adds to the symphony of the foggy dawn.

The March BishBox is the source of my apparel, all designed to bring a feeling of freedom. The pose from {NANTRA}, available at The Liaison Collaborative, adds to the sense of liberation.

The location, though, is the star. Frayed Sanity by name, but a truly peaceful place; perfect for the celebration of a misty morning.
