Z Is For Zee End

1 Z is for Zibska

I talked yesterday about how much I have enjoyed doing this challenge. Today it’s just about the last letter in the alphabet.

I had to spell out “Zee” in the title because if I had said “Z End” most of the English-speaking world would have thought it read “Zed End.” Pronouncing Z as “zed” is the part of the Australian vernacular I have resisted most. It makes no sense to me; D is not pronounced “ded”, nobody says “ged” for G nor “ped” for P. So why is Z any different? Although zed is a derivation of the original Greek zeta, B isn’t called “bed” (the Greek is beta).

I could have just called this post “Z is for Zebra & Zibska” but then I wouldn’t have been able to get into this phonetic phenomenon to complete this curiously quizzical conundrum.

K Is For Kinky

I’m talking about the hair! Sheeeesh, what did you think this post was going to be about? 😉

The Salome hair by [LeLutka] is my go-to hair when I want a hairstyle that is a little bit avant garde. It is one of those items that I would never delete, or if it accidentally disappeared from my inventory I would run to replace immediately. It’s almost two years old, but I think a lot of people would agree that it is just an amazing hairstyle. I’m not sure if I would describe it as controlled or uncontrolled kinky, but it is sexy and funky and perfect.

I also made this pose for my photo. I knew that I was going to use this hair and I actually wanted my hands to be closer to my head, like I was primping my hair. That didn’t work out lol I still have a lot of learning to do before I am able to translate my avatar’s body into exactly the position I see in my head. I have even more respect now than I ever did for the ability of pose makers. That they are able to create poses that make our avatars look natural and not like Quasimodo is a real talent!

J Is For Jump

I wasn’t quite sure what to do for the letter J. I could have gone with a designer, but I wanted to do more of a theme. When “jump” popped into my head, I started looking for poses in my inventory. I found a couple, but they weren’t what I wanted. I was going to give up on the idea and try to come up with something else, then I happened to stumble across this tutorial on pose making by Gogo on JuicyBomb. Since I had an idea of what type of pose I wanted, I decided to give it a go. So, I downloaded DAZ Studio, followed Gogo’s instructions and started playing around.

Yes, that is it in my photo. Not only am I jumping, but I am joyful, jubilant and jolly-well proud of my little creation. Is it perfect? Nah. But I made it! I’m going to call it beginner’s luck, though, because I tried another one and it was a joke!

But there’s no need to be jealous because here is the surprise I mentioned yesterday – I’m giving it away!

All you need to do is visit my marketplace store or stop in my show room in world to pick it up. It is sitting on the shelf just as you walk in, so it’s easy to find.

I only have one request: if you use it in a photo for your blog, please credit it. I think that’s a small price to pay for a Poses by Peep original 😉
