1 Dinner at 8

It is a limited menu for a very discerning diner. The table is set, the candles are lit and there is a fresh breeze gently fluttering the curtains. All that is missing is my dinner companion. If he doesn’t come soon, I may have to start without him.

Shiny Shabby has just opened and among the fabulous goodies you can pick up are the Zee Dining Set (for swingers) by Kuro and a great set of sitting poses by !bang. Also, Apple May Designs has released this sexy corset, which works well with the previously-released Kia lingerie set. The red version of the corset is available at the main store this weekend for only 25L. You can also pick up the lovely necklace (with matching earrings) at Salt & Pepper.

I was sure the lure of these new additions would ensure my date arrived on time!

Is it just my imagination, or is that moose smirking at me?

He Hasn’t Gone Yet But I Miss Him Already

1 In His Shirt

He hasn’t left yet. I can hear him singing loudly and slightly off-key as he showers in the next room. I envision him conducting the band with his loofah as he rinses, reaching for his towel and drying his back with a wiggle of his bum. With the towel wrapped loosely around his waist, he clears the steam from the mirror and inspects his profile, checking it from the corner of his eye. He picks up the razor, then switches it for the trimmer and touches up his beard. Grabbing his toothbrush, he applies the toothpaste with a flourish and polishes his teeth to a shark-like gleam. I hear the water splash as he rinses the residue from the sink since he knows that finding globs of blue paste in the bowl is one of my pet peeves.

He emerges from the bathroom and I admire him as he dresses, softly humming the chorus of the tune he began in the shower. He steps back into the bathroom to bring out his shaving kit, tucks it into his suitcase and slowly zips it closed. His movements slow, he turns to see me sitting there, cuddling his pillow that smells of him, dressed in his shirt, his socks and even his hat. With a wan smile he shrugs into his jacket, picks up his bag and crosses to me. Setting his luggage on the floor, he tips back the brim of my fedora and kisses me softly, holding me so closely I can feel the beating of his heart.

In that moment, even though I know he will only be away for a few days, I realise how much he means to me.

He hasn’t gone yet, but I miss him already.

So I seem to have a mannequin theme going here, lately.

This was an accidental photo after I had spent literally hours on a totally different image wearing a different outfit in a different location using a different pose for the same theme. Don’t you love when a plan comes together? I just wish it had come together before I spent all that time on the other set up!

I was challenged by Rwah to create a photo of myself fixing my shoe. She had been challenged by Len Douglas to take a photo of herself fixing her bra. It was inspired by his photo of himself fixing his tie.

I, in turn, invited Wendz Tempest to create a photo of herself fixing her stocking. Her mission, which she has chosen to accept, is not only to create the image but to challenge someone else to fix something else.

We’re regular McGyvers here. No disrespect intended, Mr Phelps.

When Johnfrancis Laville passed me over this sexy Homberg, he said he wasn’t sure if it would work for a woman. Pffft, I say! What’s sexier than grabbing your man’s hat and slipping it on with a pair of Come Get Me pumps from Essenz and this tiny fishnet top and (broken) panties by Apple May Designs? Especially when you’re comparing yourself to a static model, even if she is dressed only in a rosebud? It’s all about standing next to some(one)thing that doesn’t look as good as you 😉

My mission is complete. *Cue self-destructing tape and sizzling match with cheesy 1960’s theme music*
