Fairy Floss Unicorn

They say you should wear bright, cheerful colours on days you are feeling less than 100%. Today is Monday, so I’m bringing out the vivid hues to combat the work-week blues!

The Unicorn HUD from NO.MATCH is simply brilliant and the hair I am wearing is now available at The Liaison Collaborative. It is a fabulous style that works beautifully with the colourful textures. Also available at TLC are the eye shadow and lipstick from Zibska. They are complementary and sold separately. Do check the compatibility of the appliers; they are made for different mesh heads, but there is an Omega version of both.

Love my swimsuit? So do I! I love it so much I ended up naked in the middle of FaMESHed on opening day for it! What? How? Why? You ask? Fun story…

As you will be aware, if you manage to squeeze into FaMESHed on opening day, it is jam packed to the rafters. That was the case when I arrived. I grabbed the demo, but since getting back in if I left to try on demos (as I often do) was highly unlikely, I chose to try the demo at the event. Now, this suit comes with three textures per pack, and there are around 12 base colours available, so those are a lot of choices to be made. And of course, since it was so busy, the sim was lagging horribly. I did the right thing by putting on the swimsuit, waiting for it to rez then taking off my other clothes. I was happily switching through the textures very slowly (again, thank you, Lag Monster), trying to decide which colour pack to buy. I was trying on for probably 15 minutes when I thought to myself, “Oh, this is the actual suit; there are no DEMO tags or print on the textures…hmmm.” No sooner than the thought flashed across my brain, there was a swirl around me and a message that the demo time had expired. And POOF! I’m naked in the dead centre of FaMESHed!

My first thought was to TP out. I quickly discarded that idea because FaMESHed…opening day. I hit my Maitreya HUD to attempt alphaing out my body, but it, too, was slow to react. While waiting for the bloody thing to respond, I dived into my inventory to slap on the first bit of clothing I could find, then dashed behind the booths. By the time I was hidden away, I was nothing but a floating head and shoes wearing a very brief dress, huddled in the bushes.

I bought the teal. And went on to try a few other demos. Shopping from behind the scenes isn’t a bad way to do things. I might just make that my MO while shopping busy events from now on.

Oh…and I’ll have a saved outfit handy. Maybe even dressing as a fairy floss unicorn.

While It’s Winter In Australia

It may not be snowing, but it’s still cold here down under. After weeks of photos representing the summer season of Second Life, I decided it was time to throw on a fuzzy jacket and head for colder climes. For those of you who are Furillenites, you probably already know that A.) the sim has moved again and B.) it is snowing again. It was the perfect break from bikinis and short shorts for this transplanted Australian.

My hair from enVOGUE HAIR is called Ramona and can be found at Hair Fair 2017. This rich brown tone just worked so well with the rest of my outfit that I gave up my red locks for the day. It is a woman’s prerogative to change her hair colour, after all.

And even though it is winter in my world, these hip-hugging jeans are my little toast to summer. They are by Razor from the June round of BishBox and are a reminder that you only have until noon on the 20th to sign up for the July box.

So enjoy your summer in the northern hemisphere. I’ll be cuddled up with my cat while it’s winter in Australia.

This photo was inspired by that famous scene in “From Here To Eternity” (you can see it in the sidebar of the Wikipedia page). The only difference is I’m a redhead. And not being covered by the crashing waves. And I’m alone.

Still…I’m lying on a beach, so I figured that was close enough.

In all honesty, the inspiration actually came from the hair I am wearing: Lorelay by enVOGUE HAIR, available at Hair Fair 2017. These braids just begged for a shot from the back, although it looks equally lovely from the front and the side. It pairs perfectly with the peaches sarong set from neve. out now at The Liaison Collaborative.

Also at TLC are these magical ankle beads from Mosquito’s Way. What makes them magical, you ask? They are also a pair of heels, which you can toggle via HUD. Such versatility – you can have either heels with or without the beads or the beads alone. Awesome and amazing!

For the H&G crowd, be prepared because The Home Show 2017 is opening today. The lovely seashells and starfish are from [ keke ], bits of beach rubble from her The Whole Shemoley set. Stop by her booth at the event; everything [ keke ] is guaranteed to be fabulous.

Eternity gave me inspiration. All the pretty things gave me the post.
