This photo was inspired by that famous scene in “From Here To Eternity” (you can see it in the sidebar of the Wikipedia page). The only difference is I’m a redhead. And not being covered by the crashing waves. And I’m alone.

Still…I’m lying on a beach, so I figured that was close enough.

In all honesty, the inspiration actually came from the hair I am wearing: Lorelay by enVOGUE HAIR, available at Hair Fair 2017. These braids just begged for a shot from the back, although it looks equally lovely from the front and the side. It pairs perfectly with the peaches sarong set from neve. out now at The Liaison Collaborative.

Also at TLC are these magical ankle beads from Mosquito’s Way. What makes them magical, you ask? They are also a pair of heels, which you can toggle via HUD. Such versatility – you can have either heels with or without the beads or the beads alone. Awesome and amazing!

For the H&G crowd, be prepared because The Home Show 2017 is opening today. The lovely seashells and starfish are from [ keke ], bits of beach rubble from her The Whole Shemoley set. Stop by her booth at the event; everything [ keke ] is guaranteed to be fabulous.

Eternity gave me inspiration. All the pretty things gave me the post.

Blue Butterflies, Blue Dreams

While I am loving the fashion and hair that I have been blogging the last several posts, don’t forget about the home & garden designers! [ keke ] has released “butterflies dancing” at the main store. These are recolours of the lovely set she did for Deco(c)rate last month. Now is your chance to grab them if you didn’t subscribe, or add to your collection if you did. My hair is another from Hair Fair 2017, this time from tram. When I think of tram, I think of short cuts. This long style, though, has to be one of my favourites not only from Hair Fair, but also from this designer…ever. I do love when creators step out of their niche/comfort zone to bring something stunning to the grid. And my life!

Two Favourites, Squared

Every summer, I look forward to two events in Second Life: Hair Fair and Summerfest. And every year, I look out for two designers at those events.

I first discovered *ARGRACE* at Hair Fair a few years ago and it has become a favourite hair brand for me. rika Oyen follows a theme for her offerings for Hair Fair. She has done hats previously (baseball caps, cowboy hats) and this year, it is towels (two versions) and messy hair. The texturing on the towels is so perfect I want to wrap my own hair in one. And the hair itself is just the right amount of wisps and tousled locks to believe you have just stepped out of the shower, or the ocean. And don’t forget her other creations: bedhead extraordinaire and shampoo. I will try to get posts with those later, but don’t wait for me – go check them out yourself.

The first item I ever bought at Summerfest was a ruffled one-piece bathing suit from Valentina E. Last year, it was a ruffled bikini. And this year, another one. I simply love the bold patterns and unflinching style. Valentina E. is equal parts haute couture and smouldering sensuality. This bikini ticks all the boxes of becoming a classic. I can’t wait to see what she does next!

Honourable mention must go to Izzie’s, also at Summerfest. She is the mistress of the appliers, and the water droplets she features this year are the proof. With appliers for multiple bodies and heads, plus Omega, different skin tones with varying levels of shine, I may have to amend my title:
