Decades before Fifty Shades of Grey was written, in fact almost a decade before author E. L. James was born, The Story of O created a literary sensation in not only France, where it was published, but around the world. Histoire d’O inspired outrage, lawsuits and admiration for its eloquent eroticism. It is an enduring icon of the BDSM culture.

O is the inspiration for the Salt & Pepper release at the February round of We < 3 Roleplay, opening today. The dress, collar and cuffs are all part of the story.

Has she struck a pose on a deserted beach, or fallen as she traverses the dunes in her heels? Perhaps we’ll never know…

What I do know is that the highlight of this photo (besides the landscape) is the detail that both Annie Melson of *Just BECAUSE* and Darling Monday of fri.day bring to everything they create. First, the top; the ribbing pulls in all the right ways and you can easily discern every tooth of the zipper. Then for the shoes – these aren’t just ordinary platform pumps; check out the tiny bow!
