It’s that trust thing – stepping to the edge of the cliff with just one thought on your mind: Will you catch me if I fall?

Having the belief that you will land safely is what allows you to take that final step, arriving softly in protective arms.

What I am believing in today is a how a beautiful dress and accessories can give you the confidence to step out – alone, or with that saving presence around. The dress, from Valentina E. is feminine and just revealing enough to make you feel sexy without worrying what might peek out…that shouldn’t. The headpiece and necklace are prizes at the round of The Gacha Garden, which begins November 1st. The necklace, which comes with a HUD for every sign of the zodiac is a rare and the headpiece, with texture-change HUD is the Seed of Inspiration prize. If you’re not familiar with The Gacha Garden, the Seed of Inspiration is the gift you receive when you play a machine 20 times. Great incentive to keep playing!

Night will be falling soon on a couple of events – My Attic and The Arcade. Both will fade away when September ends. There are lots of bargains at My Attic – nothing is over 95L. The pose I am using from Ma Vie is part of a set you can nab for this bargain price. And the hair from -Tableau Vivant- is only a spin away at The Arcade.

While my dress is a new release at the Apple May Designs mainstore, you can pick up the red version for the princely sum of 25L for this week. You have plenty of time to get to Uber for the shoes I am wearing from fri.day, but why wait? I visited today and the crowds are manageable and the new still hasn’t worn off of these heels.

Don’t get caught napping – there will be plenty of time to sleep when night falls.

1 On a Swing

Balancing my life is not akin to walking a tightrope; instead, it is more like teetering on a swing, not quite ready to let go, but getting to the point where I can at least look down. Slippery slopes and all that (yes, I know I’m mixing my metaphors like a Kansas farmhouse in a tornado!)

It is a challenge to keep my equilibrium and composure some days. Hell, most days. Traffic woes, work stresses, wild and sometimes frightening dreams, broken sleep and aches and pains all push me to my limits. But then a cuddle from my (usually) stand-offish cat, a chat with my sweetheart and a photo that I am happy with are the counterbalance to the distress I allow to cloud my day.

I am learning, slowly, not to fear looking down, but I still won’t let go.
