Another Unexpected Unicorn

I’m thinking about getting a horse. Not a breedable, just a horse I can ride. So I donned my new hat and set out to find one.

I stopped at Branagh’s Barn and hopped on this lovely bay for a quick ride around the paddock. He had other ideas. Freed from his stall in the barn he made his way quickly to this beautiful unicorn. They seemed to hit it off…I’m sure they’ll be very good friends.

Speaking of the hat (nice segue, eh? 😉 ) this is a sneak preview of the JfL Cowboy hat for the Jewelry & Accessories Expo, December 06-21. The felt is soft, the band is materials-enabled for a lovely shine in the light, and it comes in six colours. What more could a girl – or guy – ask for?

Not much, except to find a friend in an unexpected place.

I didn’t buy the horse…yet. I’m still considering. But while I was looking around I saw that the unicorn will only be available for the holidays. That is fitting…an ethereal creature such as she only appears briefly then disappears. Not to be forgotten, but out of reach except in dreams.

Black Friday All Week…In Pastel

I have always avoided shopping on Black Friday in RL, even when I lived in the US. I think I did it once, and then only because it was a necessity due to timing and logistics. Never again! And although we don’t have a traditional Black Friday in Australia (no Thanksgiving so no real reason) a lot of retailers have picked up on the fervor that has become a world-wide phenomenon.

I admit to doing as much of my RL shopping as possible online. No parking hassles, no crowds or long queues to check out. But I did venture out in SL to grab a few bargains.

My wifey, CYN, however, has done everyone in SL a huge favour – she started her Black Friday sale on Friday, but it’s running all week at her IMPULSE mainstore. Everything except gift cards and vendors are 99L! While she specialises in biker gear for women and men, she also does some sweet casual items. If black is your colour, then IMPULSE is the place for you. But if you adore pastels, Cyn has started to let a few lighter shades sneak into her line – like the sweet romper I’m wearing in the top photo that comes in about 10 different colours (including black, of course!)

And in case you’re wondering, you can look tough in pink. Just sayin’ 😉

Happy Turducken Day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends celebrating it today! Just a silly shot of me in my turducken outfit from my set last night at The River.

You can click the link above to find out how to make turducken, but here’s my recipe:

Take one old Thanksgiving turkey outfit.
Add one Cyber Ducky to your shoulder.
Top with a set of acrobatic chickens.
Season with dash of silliness.

Marinate for three hours and serve with no shame.

No credits today…I gave you the basic recipe; you’ll have to find the ingredients yourself 😉
