Pics by Peep

On January 21, 2013 I started this little blog. That’s 287 days ago, or as I hit Publish on this entry, 250 posts. I honestly didn’t think I would last this long – or at least have this many posts in this amount of time. I actually didn’t notice when I hit 200 posts, so when I realised I was creeping up on 250, I decided to do a post specifically for that event.

A lot has happened in the time since I started blogging – some good, some not so good. I have used this blog to document some of those things, and it has helped me get through the rough times and been a place where I can share the joy I have felt. I keep an occasional eye on my stats, and while I don’t have huge number of views each day, I am proud that I have over 300 followers, most people stick around to view more than one post and that I have a comment rate of over 11% (comments vs views). I have a group of followers who have become near and dear to my heart. I thank you all for being so supportive and encouraging. I have to say a special thanks to my lil Cao, Rwah, Wendz and Alexa who so-frequently comment and make me laugh, plus Strawberry Singh who has been so encouraging and helpful, and has pimped me out so often I feel like Xaviera Hollander 😉 Stuffly and Tylar, you two have always been my biggest cheerleaders, pushing me to keep doing everything I can to improve, always having more confidence in me than I have myself. And last but certainly not least is my Grumper, who is not only my inspiration but my tireless consultant. Thank you for so joyfully looking at picture after picture when I’m not sure which to use. And for holding my hand when I’m sad or unsure, for making everyday brighter – for being my shining star.

So yes, while this post (like most of my posts) are shameless selfies, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those who have given me a reason to keep on doing what I love – photographing my journey through Second Life. When I started this blog, it was meant to be to promote Pics by Peep – my photography business. It has turned into so much more – a discovery of who I am and more importantly, of the friends I have known and made since I began.

Thank you for taking this ride of 287 days duration, of 250 posts that have hopefully helped you see a bit of who I am. I look forward to the next 287 days, how many ever more posts, and beyond.
