While I spent yesterday morning relaxing, today started completely differently. When you have changed the sheets, done two loads of laundry, bathed your pigeon-pooped-on cat, cleaned the fridge, bathroom and laundry room, taken out the trash and gotten groceries all before noon, I think one is entitled to spend the late afternoon lounging around reading. The fact that it is on a waterborne bed makes it all the sweeter.

It’s been a bit cooler here today, thank goodness. Still hotter than I like, though 😦

lol ok, here’s how you bathe a cat:
1. Put her in the bathtub
2. Hold her with one hand (this part is VERY important!)
3. Use a handheld shower attachment with the nozzle pressed against the fur/skin to wet her down.
4. VERY carefully pour shampoo on her and lather her up (this is when she gets frisky and holding on is tricky!)
5. Use the shower head to rinse.
6. Wrap her in a fluffy towel (her own or because you’ll NEVER get her fur out of this towel!) and cuddle until as much excess water as possible is soaked up. Your shirt will take some of the extra 😉
7. Put her down and watch her shake & roll and flick her feet to try to get the water off.
8. Make sure she has access to a sunny, warm spot for drying.
9. Brush her as she starts to dry to separate the fur and speed drying. This is the point when all is forgiven!
I don’t bathe her in winter unless it is an absolute emergency because that requires use of the hair dryer. Now THAT is when the trouble starts!
