The day that every Second Life fashionista has been awaiting has arrived: Hair Fair 2016 is open!
I was privileged once again to have early access, and I took full advantage of it (as usual). I will be flooding my blog with posts that feature items from Hair Fair over the coming days…maybe even weeks! No matter what your preferred style, there is something there for you – I guarantee it! And since a part of every purchase goes to Wigs for Kids, you can leave your guilt at the sim edge when you arrive.
You can click on the Hair Fair link above to take you to the blog – there are photos there of all of the styles, plus a SLurl to the sim that hosts each designer. There is a central landing point on each sim, but if you use those SLurls, you should give you a beacon that leads you to the hair of your dreams.
For the best way to try before you buy, join the free-to-join Hair Fair Demo Group.

Today I am wearing Modesty from Atelier Pepe. It is the perfect hat hair! If you have every shied away from buying a hat in Second Life because it is so hard to find hair to wear with it, get this style! It just so happened I received a new hat to blog for JfL Real Hats today, so it was serendipity that I found this hair. Just one click of the resizer on the hat, a very slight positional change, et voila! A great style for using with your chapeau!
I will mention that I got this hair by accident. I intended to buy a different style (Natural) from this designer, but it was mis-packaged. I have sent the creator a notecard to let her know (and I’m sure I’m not the only one). She wasn’t online when I contacted her, but I am sure she will rectify this as soon as possible. As it turns out, it was a blessing in disguise.
As for getting there, I have listed a SLurl to each of the four sims below. Also check the Hair Fair blog – there are two additional cam shopping sims. You can find all of the information there.
There is a group on Flickr for your Hair Fair photos, but I forgot to grab the link before I logged off. I guess you’ll have to check back later when I post the link 😉
EDIT: Here is the link to the Hair Fair 2016 Flickr group.

Great photo Peep…very sultry look.
Thanks for Hair Fair LMs, I got into one today and bought Modesty, just to try with hats. Im disappointed with the black shade but. Its too grey for my young avi. On the up side, Mina offered her groups a gift of Kirstin hair which is now my favourite everyday hair.
Oh and thanks too for the hint about demo group and the link to web page>>>very useful.
I hope you tried a demo first! And the gifts are amazing at Hair Fair 🙂 I’m working on a post using one of them right now 😉
Well, no!…..I didnt see the demo at the fair. Never mind, Im not bothered…I can use it and its a donation too.
The demos are there – that’s how I knew I wanted Natural (and got Modesty lol).
Fab picture, Peep! I missed the SL Blogger early access (family stuff intervened) but got in today. So glad that they marked the hairs for men with an appropriate symbol over the shops. Such a great idea 🙂
Thank you, Moz 🙂 I didn’t notice the symbol over the shops, but then…girl, ya know 😉 I did notice there was quite alot of men’s styles, though and I’m going to let Chance go shopping!
