Thousand-yard stare. Blunted affect. Stoned?

I wasn’t quite sure what to call this picture. It really was a photograph I stumbled upon while shooting this new sweatshirt by Apple May Designs. I wanted a set that was kind of dingy and dark. I rezzed the skybox and began pulling out stuff to furnish it. One of the first items I grabbed was a stool…which you can’t actually see in the photo. While digging through my inventory for more clutter, I plopped down on it. As I cammed around to find the box I had down to rez things on, I happened to see this image.

The angle was right. The lighting needed just a bit of tweaking. Click. Click. Job done.

Yeah, that was it. Shocked, aren’t you? I was.

So the title is actually quite simple:

Stunned.

Too Awesome To Be A Horror Movie Victim

I heard something the other day that made me laugh.

I would be the first person to die in a horror movie. I refuse to spend my last minutes running. Screw that.

Apparently there is also a correlation between wearing matching bra and panties and being a serial killer’s victim, but I’m not showing off my undies today, so we’ll just stick to the horror movie story.

No, my outfit isn’t really the best wardrobe for a walk through a misty forest, but that seems to be the case for most horror movie victims. The skirt is too short, the heels are too high, the top is too tiny but damn, I look good! I couldn’t resist a peep over my shoulder to see if I could figure out what is making those growly noises behind me, but honestly, I don’t think I want to know. Is that a shadow near that tree, or is it a hockey-mask-wearing freak just waiting to slash me – and I don’t mean with a high stick!

If I can just make it into the mist, I think I can blend in and very possibly – hopefully – get out of the woods alive.

Shiny Shabby has opened once again and you need (I do mean need) this denim skirt from Apple May Designs. The fit and textures are superb and you can even change the colour of your belt to match your outfit. !bang has also stepped up with not just a singles pose pack (including mirrors) but a sweet friend’s pose as well. Go forth and shop. You’re way too awesome to be a horror movie victim.

Usually I hate mirrors because I’m not happy with the face looking back at me…until I’ve at least applied my mascara. But in this case, it was trying to get the mirror images lined up in this photo. I finally did it…after about an hour. They’re probably not perfect, but I did heave a sigh of accomplishment when I finished.
