I obviously had a lousy first date. I am actually using a couples pose – you can see why my partner didn’t make it onto the pose stand. And yes, this is the last date, too.

Don’t think you are limited to using two people with couples or friends poses. Frequently you can use one or the other of the two poses as a single. That is the case with this pose from !bang for Fifty Linden Friday (FLF), called “my world.” While he didn’t rock mine, the female half of this pose did, so you’re seeing it here. FLF is a one-day sale, so make sure you stop by tomorrow (September 25th) to pick up one of the two couples poses Luna has on special. I also took the opportunity to give you another sneak preview of Rwah’s sim. I am hoping that if I keep giving you snippets of her work that she’ll actually get around to opening it to the public 😉 Stay tuned – I’ll add the SLurl if she ever does. It’s the perfect place to go on a first date – you can hang onto him if you like him and if you don’t, well, you can just hang him!

Standing on the edge of the abyss, hearing the waves crash against the rocks, gazing at the keep across the chasm, she is overwhelmed. It is beautiful. It is awe-inspiring. It is…perfection.

I’m talking about her bum, of course! The skirt from -PixiCat- at The Arcade will give curves where there is normally just flat road, and it is just accentuated by the pose from !bang for We < 3 Roleplay. The stance is just enough sassy and flirty, yet feminine and delicate. Seen from the front (you'll have to trust me on this – sorry!), she looks positively demure.

I wanted to find a location that lent itself to a windy feeling to highlight the hair from Tableau Vivant at The Arcade, and Skye Elgol, one of Alex Bader's Studio Skye showcase sims, was perfect. It is actually his castle and keep showcase sim, so the vista is at once foreboding and mystical. I added the crashing waves in Photoshop; I just thought it helped give a sense of a windy, desolate landscape.

But I am warmed in this windswept place by the sexy little cock of my hip 😉

1 A Kiss Before Dawn

Almost always when I am shooting a photo for my blog I begin with an outfit or an item, style a setting that works with it, then go through my ridiculously large collection of poses to find one that suits the scene. Not so, in this case. I have had this pose, Savior from !bang for We < 3 Roleplay for over a week and have tried numerous times to fit it into a photo. It just hadn’t worked out. This pose is everything I look for in a couple’s pose – it shows tenderness, strength, romance, passion and tells a story. I needed to make it work. So yesterday, I reversed the process. I started with the pose and created the scene and styled the outfits around it instead.

Other than knowing that Chance would be in the photo, I wasn’t sure what I would do. I had to use this lamp from [ keke ] for the new round of Kustom9 because it is…well, so [ keke ]. It is crafted with loving detail, it sparkles yet has darkness and depth and has a haunting appeal that says romance and mystery.

While I was standing on my platform puzzling over what to do, I decided to head over to Collabor88 to look for some inspiration. While I have never used a Scarlet Creative house for my inworld home, I almost never pass up picking up Charlotte Bartlett’s releases at C88. The angles and textures and oh, those windows (!) are heaven for photography. When I spied her Moon Rise House, my imagination just flew to a setting that is somewhat Twilightish/Gothic to showcase the pose. While I am not well-versed in either genre, I did my best. I tossed in some of the wonderful items from DRD for The Arcade, and I was ready.

The secretive encounter in an abandoned house, the rustle of his leather coat against her bare skin, the subtle glow of the lamp in the moonlight, his gentle touch as he prepares to depart, make up my interpretation of the mysterious stranger who has captivated her heart. A kiss before dawn, and then he is gone.
