There Is A Story To Be Told

But I’m not going to tell it.

Some of the central parts of the story can be found in this photo. I found them while following the Saint Pete City Hunt that tells the story of Tatiana and Nickolai. Written by Skippy Beresford, it is a lovely little tale that will allow you to wander the latest Neva River Estates sim, enjoy the gorgeous St. Pete City, and pick up a few souvenirs. They are provided by [ zerkalo ], so you know they will be beautifully made.

Also beautifully made are the pendant lights and hogweed accessories from [ keke ]. Yes, Kean Kelly can even make weeds look delicate and attractive. The lights come in three lengths and the hogweeds come in both a plain version (not shown) and a shimmery style. And see the weeds in the vase on the table? That is the gift from [ keke ] for the 2nd anniversary of Kustom9, which begins on October 15th.

In every dusty attic, in every unopened box, in the bristles of every weed, there is a story to be told.

Autumn Evening

Kean Kelly of [ keke ] has been a very busy lady. She has three new releases, staggered over the next week.

First up is the chair and table (in three colours) available Saturday for The Neighbourhood. The textures are divine, the perfect weathered look for furniture that has seen more than one autumn come and go. It will be available at the mainstore at a special price for one day only.

You may as well plan to go back on Sunday to pick up the little set of Northern Lights candles. One of the things I love most about all things [ keke ] is the way she creates anthing that includes light. From twinkling to static flames, she is a mistress of illumination. The set of candles is very small and delicate, but it can be resized.

Last, but not least, is the willows, tea lights and tea glasses for The Seasons Story, which begins on October 10th. In addition to the willow bush and leaves I am showing, there is also a tree stump with willows and pillows (I like how that rhymes!). All are amazingly detailed with interesting poses and once again, the light from the tea lights is superb.

Set the scene with these beautiful items and all you need to add is moonlight for the perfect autumn evening.

1 A Kiss Before Dawn

Almost always when I am shooting a photo for my blog I begin with an outfit or an item, style a setting that works with it, then go through my ridiculously large collection of poses to find one that suits the scene. Not so, in this case. I have had this pose, Savior from !bang for We < 3 Roleplay for over a week and have tried numerous times to fit it into a photo. It just hadn’t worked out. This pose is everything I look for in a couple’s pose – it shows tenderness, strength, romance, passion and tells a story. I needed to make it work. So yesterday, I reversed the process. I started with the pose and created the scene and styled the outfits around it instead.

Other than knowing that Chance would be in the photo, I wasn’t sure what I would do. I had to use this lamp from [ keke ] for the new round of Kustom9 because it is…well, so [ keke ]. It is crafted with loving detail, it sparkles yet has darkness and depth and has a haunting appeal that says romance and mystery.

While I was standing on my platform puzzling over what to do, I decided to head over to Collabor88 to look for some inspiration. While I have never used a Scarlet Creative house for my inworld home, I almost never pass up picking up Charlotte Bartlett’s releases at C88. The angles and textures and oh, those windows (!) are heaven for photography. When I spied her Moon Rise House, my imagination just flew to a setting that is somewhat Twilightish/Gothic to showcase the pose. While I am not well-versed in either genre, I did my best. I tossed in some of the wonderful items from DRD for The Arcade, and I was ready.

The secretive encounter in an abandoned house, the rustle of his leather coat against her bare skin, the subtle glow of the lamp in the moonlight, his gentle touch as he prepares to depart, make up my interpretation of the mysterious stranger who has captivated her heart. A kiss before dawn, and then he is gone.
