I Don’t Care If It Rains

Why don’t I care if it rains? Not only because it brings beautiful flowers and lush, green lawn, but because I have all of the gear to be stylish in a shower.

It isn’t a bad idea to wear a minimal top so it doesn’t get saturated by the rain. In this case, it is a lovely lace bra masquerading as a midriff-baring top from *Just BECAUSE*, available at this month’s round of FaMESHed. It is part of a set with matching panties that come in both a lace and solid version. They pair perfectly with a dress with the same options, but this is pretty enough to show off on its own.

To help protect the rest of me are several lovely items from the “Rainy Days” round of The Liaison Collaborative. Starting at the top is this great hat from GizzA . It is stylish as well as practical. To add another layer of protection is this sweet rain jacket from Vinyl. It comes in a wide variety of colours, with bonus textures if you pick up the fatpack. And finally, these adorable capris from ~Nerido~ give you the option of wearing the belt, or not, making these casual pants great for layering or for a highlight for your mid-section.

In the background is the welcoming Palma set from {what next} from the current round of Collabor88. You can purchase the chairs, tables (in multiple colours), lanterns and decor set separately, but for only 188L, you really should go for the full set. It’s too good a bargain to let wash away.

I should grab the books though; I may not be afraid of the rain, but I don’t want to ruin a classic!

Lu Is Back!

After a hiatus from creating in Second Life, Luana Dawg is back with her brand, Kuro. I have missed Lu’s quirky style and I am thrilled to see she has returned with a rebuild of her Microapartment. It is a cozy, two-room build with lovely detail. I am hoping this is just the first of many great things to come.

[ keke ] also has released recolours of her Gustavian console table and the lovely refurbished spring drawer, which was originally found in the February Deco(c)rate subscription box. They work well together or of course, on their own. They are available at her main store, along with a lot of the other things you can see in the photo, so do a little browsing when you stop in to pick up these goodies. In addition, she has created the spring sprout set for the Mad Easter Egg Hunt. I haven’t done this hunt, but it is a collective hunt with more prizes released the more people play and find eggs. The Liaison Collaborative should be open by the time I publish this post. The theme of “Rainy Days” is perfect for April and there are loads of showery-themed pretties at the event, including these from Serenity Style and Sway’s. Stop by for your April gear, and don’t forget your umbrella!

Check out the stunning necklace and earrings from Baiastice at The Liaison Collaborative. These are truly statement pieces and you only have a couple of days left to grab them at the event before it closes on March 30.

A few days ago I promised a closer look at the latest fedora from JfL Hats, and here it is. The texture of the suede just makes me want to run my fingers across it, then smooth it back down. This is, once again, the bright pink, but all of the hats in this release are lighter colours than the usual JfL pallete. They are perfect for the ladies, but will still work great for the guys. Do go check them out – they are new releases at the main store.

As I was scrolling through my JfL Hats folder to find this photo, I realised that I have been blogging for John for almost four years. He is the designer I have blogged for the longest. He has believed in me – stuck with me – as I have slowly become a bit better at blogging. OK, I can say easily that I have become a better photographer during that time. I don’t actually have the first photo I blogged for JfL – those images were stored on a back up hard drive that sadly failed – but the images I have go back to October of 2013. And I know I was blogging for JfL Hats for a few months before that. Looking through those images, I smiled, I cringed and laughed out loud at my efforts.

All in all, it was a lovely recollection.
