The Star Of The Show

There really isn’t any point in showing more of me; the Dana flats with leg warmers by fri.day are the star of the show. Such a cozy, comfy and fashionable pair of shoes should be a staple in every girl’s wardrobe. Available at Kustom9 in March, the shoes come in a wide choice of colours and the leg warmers are texture-change. Exclusive to Maitreya Lara, if you’ve got that body, you need these shoes.

I am loving the Bohemian Delight house from NOMAD from the March Deco(c)rate. The colours are so me and I had an absolute ball decorating it. I filled it with lots of pretty things from around the grid, and do please take note of the rug I am standing on. Kean Kelly has more or less filled the [ keke ] main store with a variety of beautifully muted carpets. Pile them up or use one in every room, under every chair, table and bed. They’re worth it and you won’t be able to stop at one. I am showing one of the trellis designs, but there are two other collections that are just as delightful.

So maybe, just maybe, there is more than one star of this show.

Oh, So Faraway

It may feel like it is faraway, but the March edition of BishBox is just 18 hours away as I write this. Yes, the release time has changed from midnight on the 20th to noon, so more people are awake to get the first look at their goodies. This also means that you have right up until noon exactly to hit the subscription kiosk at BishBox headquarters. Just click on the link above for your ride.

The hair I am wearing from Doe: is from the February round of BishBox, so you’ve got an idea of the talent of creators who fill this subscription box for the crazy girls of Second Life.

The skin I am wearing is a gift from [ESODE] at Skin Fair. As one of the sponsors of the fair, they have five locations around the two sims and you can pick up your copy for free at any of them. Don’t be alarmed that the price says 1L; you won’t be charged!

This is a very lovely pale skin with dramatic eyes and bare lips. It comes with the choice of three brow colours and includes system skins, Catwa appliers, full Omega appliers, plus Maitreya and Slink appliers. There is no group membership required, so anyone can pick up this very generous gift. I am wearing one of the default lipsticks from the Catwa Lona HUD, so no other purchase is necessary to achieve this look. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t splash out at Skin Fair! While it runs until March 26th, that isn’t that much longer and won’t be back for another year.

And that is oh, so faraway.

The second week of Skin Fair 2017 has begun, and while there are still good-sized crowds, the sims aren’t full and you can move around without feeling as if you are in lag soup. Now is the time to go and explore; take your time and demo some skins and appliers you haven’t tried before. There are a lot of very talented new-to-me creators participating and I have had fun trying them all out!

Other than my mesh head, everything else I am wearing from Skin Fair in this photo are from creators I hadn’t tried before. A couple I had heard of, but the others are completely new to me. I just love the eyebrows and eyeshadow from [okkbye]; they are great for a redhead – something that isn’t that easy to find! And this is the first time I am using an eye applier. I hadn’t realised (duh…read the information in the box, Peep!) that you could use appliers with the rigged eyes that come with Catwa mesh heads. The one I am wearing is from .euphoric and they are stunning! I will definitely be using appliers with the Catwa eyes whenever I wear one of her heads.

My skin is from ((Biyo)), another new-to-me creator. If you are looking for a dark skin, do check out this brand. I am wearing the lightest shade and it is actually darker than the photo shows (lighting, ya know). It is a bare skin and comes with a brow-less version so you can choose your own. The shading of the face is dramatic, while the body is understated. One of my biggest pet peeves with skins is when the shadowing under the breasts is too exaggerated; this skin has very subtle contouring, which I really like. Other than a couple of light moles, the rest of the skin is clean, but it has…dimples of Venus! You know, those little dimples above your bum that some people have? Too cute, and well done.

Since I wanted to focus on my face (and preserve my modesty), you can only see a peek of the harness I am wearing. It is from Salt & Pepper for Re:Japonica. Salt is the Queen of Harnesses, so even from this brief view, you can see the quality of her texturing, and the rigging is spot-on. The harness includes a 10 colour-change HUD and there are RLV-enabled binders available separately (also with the texture-change HUD). This round, the Japonica event focuses on Japanese erotica and runs through April 5th.
