I have always said I am a simple girl. I have simple wants with just a modicum of flair to keep me from being entirely beige in my needs. I don’t know if there is a polar opposite of “high maintenance,” but if there is, that’s me.

I like old things. I adore well-made but unadorned clothes. I like pastels and pretty little baubles. I don’t want candlelit dinners in fancy restaurants; I prefer eating takeout on the sofa while listening to music. I love odd numbered objects in asymmetrical patterns. I like birdsong on a spring day.

I don’t have high expectations: blessed are those who expect nothing, for they shall not be disappointed. I smile at puns – the badder the better. I would rather watch kittens play than go to the ballet.

I was honoured to be selected as a blogger for The Liaison Collaborative recently. I was thrilled that the first round is themed, “Simplicity.” It suits me.

The dress by Mimikri I am wearing is from this event. The setting is a sim called :::North BAROQUED::: – nagisa. They are both simple, pastel, and like birdsong on a spring day: perfect.

The things a girl will do to afford new shoes! Just look at this mess! Dirty clothes on the floor, stinky shoes left sitting out, wet towels on the floor and ewww…I’m gonna have to go get a mask and gloves before I go near that toilet!

But the shoes are worth it. Ultra high sexy babydoll pumps with optional stockings – yes, I said optional, so you get two looks for the price of one. Because they’re from fri.day, you know they’re beautifully made. They’re available at the new round of Uber, so you may have to try several times to get in, but they are truly worth the effort. You can always polish the sink while you’re waiting 😉

What can I say? I would probably be a Crazy Cat Lady if my one little darling wasn’t such a princess who shows disdain for any other feline. But that didn’t stop me from loading up on these precious creatures to decorate my Second Life home. In case you are one of the two or three people who haven’t yet seen them, they are from Jian at The Winter Gacha Festival. Look at that little sweetie digging her claws into my new boots from fri.day! And that tiny imp peeping at me from around the corner of the fireplace from Nefarious Invention. I guess it’s only fitting that two of the wee creatures are trying to enjoy milk and breakfast from Jian (although the delicious food items are available at Wayward Market).

All in all, I think my Christmas will be merry with the meowing and purring of my newest little friends 🙂
