1 So Not A Fashion Model

I have never considered myself a fashion blogger. That’s probably ironic since I mainly blog Second Life fashion. But other than Johnfrancis Laville of JfL Hats, I don’t blog for any fashion designers, other than those who are in the few events I blog for. And Johnfrancis is primarily a men’s designer.

So imagine my surprise when I received notification that I had been nominated for an Avi Choice Award for Favorite Fashion Blogger. I was stunned, shocked even, and not just a little bit excited. I never imagined that I would receive a nomination for an award for my blogging. I have always just done it because it is fun. I have always tried to blog only when I felt that I could do justice to what I was blogging, whether it is home & garden, poses, a location or fashion, and that is why I haven’t been blogging as frequently as I used to. I am usually too tired during the week to do a photograph justice, so I content myself with a couple of shoots on the weekend that I can live with. Even then, more shots end up in the bin than land on this page.

Voting opened yesterday for the Avi Choice Awards. I am honoured to be in the company of nominees such as Strawberry Singh, Harper Beresford, Love Trill, Lucie Bluebird, Oakley Foxtrot and of course, my lil Cao. Many of the other 29 bloggers I have never had the fortune to read. But I am humbled to be in the company of those who inspired someone enough to nominate them.

I have no idea who nominated me. Whomever it was, I thank you. I am under no illusion that I will win, but I am touched by the recognition of being someone’s Favourite Fashion Blogger, especially considering I am so NOT a fashion model ❤

1 She Awakens In Moonlight

She stretches, feeling the cool breeze against her skin and shivers in response. Behind her, the moon, hidden by the clouds, struggles to light the evening sky. As she begins to move, she feels the warmth of the stones against her neck, fighting off the chill of the night.

She waits for the rustling of the grass to settle then arises, ready to set off for an evening stroll.

Where she will go, she does not know. But with the moon as her companion, she will not walk alone.
