Pool Party

1 Pool Party sm

Who says you need company to throw a pool party? Sometimes a bit of peaceful reflection is all you need to keep your sanity intact.

I have had a lot of insanity in my blogging life lately, with tons of wonderful things to style and photograph. The majority of items from this shot are available at The Liaison Collaborative for the rest of June. Fashion, pose and home & garden are all featured, so you can create your summer serenity all in one place.

It is definitely worth splashing out.

The Liaison Collaborative is in full swing now, with tons of fashion, decor and poses for you. In case you’re wondering, TLC has switched back to all product types in each round, rather than splitting between fashion and home & garden. I like this; it means you can decorate in the same theme as your outfit, all in one easy shopping experience!

Today I’m going to focus on the top from NX-Nardcotix and the pose prop from Le Poppycock. Each top comes in both an opaque and sheer version, so you can either be chaste and fashionable or daring and fashionable! Or, you can probably use the sheer version as a cover up, but hey, nothing wrong with letting the girls get a little discreet air 😉 I like this traditional anchor-stripe design, personally, but there are multiple choices, all of which are beach-themed and lovely, so I have no doubt there is a style for you.

What I love most about the dock and pose from Le Poppycock is that it comes in both a rezzable and a wearable version. I emphasised the “wearble” bit because it allows you to use your prop on sims where you don’t have rez rights. And of course, you can edit it for your height and to get just the right angle for yourself. I do advise that you not try to walk around while wearing it; Nobody wants to be pushed off the dock into the water – mobile phones still aren’t fully waterproof and you wouldn’t want to have to pay someone’s dry cleaning bill for your awkwardness.

The Liaison Collaborative runs through June 30, so weigh anchor and sail over for the summer!

    1 Ballsy sm

I have taken a lot of photos in the last week. I mean, a lot, for me. Normally because work has me exhausted by the time I get home Monday through Friday, I rarely get into Second Life, so my weekends are catch up time for my blog. However, with two big events running right now – Vintage Fair and The Liaison Collaborative – I’ve been excited to shoot all of the beautiful items and have been pushing myself to go beyond the usual two or three photos I normally produce.

That being said, I still get a bit overwhelmed and sometimes resort to using my favourite location, rather than creating my own set. So yesterday, after having done three shoots already, I wandered over to Furillen to gather a bit of inspiration to soldier on.

Now, I hadn’t planned on using the billiard table when I arrived (in fact, someone else was there and leaning against it when I wandered into the room), but when he left, I scurried back down to claim my spot. I have done some serious (temporary) derendering in the room to create a more open space, but rest assured, all of Serene’s painstaking decorating will be there when I return.

This outfit just screams femininity. But one of the greatest attributes of any woman is to be able to combine her womanliness with a bit of the vamp. What says that more than an alluring pose on a billiard table? 😉

After the cut, I’ll give you a close-up of the hair, fascinator, necklace and bodice of the dress. They are definitely worth the extra look.
