I made myself a promise this week that I would head over to Le lac des cygnes (Swan Lake), home sim of blogger buddy Cougar Sangria. This sultry seductress isn’t just a pretty face (although you may argue that point when you see her header photo on her blog). She is an accomplished sim designer and landscape artist. By opening her home sim to the public, you can be fortunate enough to see her immaculate work.

I was taken by the serenity of the sim; the music soundtrack is classical tranquility and the flora and fauna are simply stunning. The manor house is beautiful, but truly, it is the grounds that held me captive. She says in her blog that over half of the prims used are for landscaping, and I will believe that. In fact, I was so taken by this lush field of flowers that the luscious lake didn’t even make it into the photo. I apologise for that…kinda. To see it, you will just need to pay a visit yourself.

I wanted a feminine background for the outfit I put together, so Le lac des cygnes and its gardens were the perfect setting. The delicate pink lingerie and stunning earrings, plus the dramatic eye makeup are all from the July round of BishBox, aptly themed, “Femme Fatale.” The lingerie from [Glitzz] comes in separate pieces with a huge array of textures to choose from, while the earrings (with matching necklace) from MINIMAL have both silver and gold options. These can easily become staple pieces.

Speaking of staple pieces, Annie Melson of *Just BECAUSE* has listened to her customers and created a lovely skirt that is designed to be worn over tight-fitting tops. With the difficulty of layering mesh, this makes this skirt a must-have. It comes with four options: sheer, sheer with panties, solid and solid with panties so you are covered (no pun intended) for any wardrobe eventuality. The “with panties” version is great for tops while the “no panties” version is perfect to wear with body suits. In fact, it was created as a request to have a complimentary skirt for the recently-released Isa bodysuit. If you don’t already have it, make sure you grab it when you stop by the main store to pick up this skirt. Oh, and you can still wear the skirt with midriff-baring tops; it just will be a bit looser around the waist.

Do visit Le lac des cygnes. It is a classic in its own right and well worth your time. Please be respectful of the rules and enjoy this idyllic setting.

The April round of BishBox is real corker! The “Grunge Queen” box is packed full of great fashion, makeup and accessories. The Kat T-Shirt Dress from ChicModa comes with a texture-change HUD to give you loads of options, including solids, patterns and designs. The Stefanie hair from [NANI] with its classic pageboy style also includes optional hat, giving it great versatility.

I love this smoky eye makeup from .Identity. Body Shop and the septum ring from Suicide Gurls is tasteful and includes three colour options, also via HUD. Check out the closeup to see the detail on these.

If you missed seeing the Tranquility setting at Frayed Sanity I showed a few days ago (The White Greenhouse), I’m sorry, but you’re too late. In her usual style, CrankyGit has closed the sim temporarily to completely redo it. She hopes to reopen later this week, so I’ll try to keep you posted when it has reopened to the public. But before she whisked away the last vestiges of the beach, I managed to grab this shot. It gives truth to the old saying, “Behind every great woman is a dirty, broken mannequin.”

Or something like that 😉

The amazing body tattoo from .Identity. Body Shop is just one of three from this designer from Bish Box. I will be showing you more from this round in the coming days, but this is a statement tattoo that deserves nothing more than some accessorising from the Queen of Statement Pieces, Zib Skaggs of Zibska. The headpieces and collar are part of the Rare set available in the Zibska gacha at the December round of The Liaison Collaborative. You still have time to head over to try your luck; TLC runs through December 30th.

I wanted a dramatic setting for this outfit, so why not contrast the dark colours with a barren, snowy background? I mentioned a while back that Furillen was being transformed into the Star Wars world of Hoth, and that’s just where I headed. While my outfit would probably fit better into Mos Eisley’s Cantina, this is my post, so I took literary license and used Hoth instead. For those of you who would rather visit the desert planet of Tatooine, you can do that now, too, at Furillen. Just use the teleporter in the ice cave of the landing point at Hoth. No, the cantina isn’t part of the scene, but it is well worth the visit for its stark beauty. You might even run into a Star Wars character or two.

While I’m a Bish at Hoth, be sure to open your box and be a Bish wherever you want to be.
