1 Laundry Day sm

That day we all dread. When we’re down to wearing our last clean pair of underwear. Waiting for the clothes to dry so we can start our “favourite” chore: ironing.

{what next} at least makes us look good while we’re completing this duty. The ironing board has been around for several years, but it has been updated to mesh. It has a lower land impact, rezzes more cleanly and looks even better than the original.

It still doesn’t make the clothes become wrinkle-free on their own, but at least we can do it in style.

Well, there is a new event that started May 1st that helps you defeat that message! Called Buy Now, it is run through Marketplace. For a limited time, you can purchase new releases exclusively on Marketplace at discounted prices. With close to 50 designers participating, that’s a lot of newness you won’t have to wait to get your hands on! Just pop over to their website and click each vendor’s logo to link you to a preview of their product, then it’s just one more click directly to the Marketplace listing. No more waiting to get in, no more landing on someone’s head and walking through sludge to move off the landing point, no more waiting for the vendors to rez. Simple, yet ingenious!

Apple May Designs is offering the adorable Dress For Tea at a discount for this event in two colours. It is very feminine and just a bit daring. The blue and black are on sale for the event, but there are other colours available at full price. Pick out your favourite and gloat over beating the event barrier!

Statistics show that 47 percent of relationships break up due to having to share a bathroom. OK, so I made that up completely, but if it isn’t a real statistic, it probably should be! She, of course, hogs the bathroom time, along with the vanity top for her “essentials.” He, on the other hand, just wants to enjoy a cuppa and read the paper while performing his morning ablutions. It is truly a recipe for disaster in a two-person, one-bathroom household!

Whether you will be sharing your Second Life bathroom or making it your personal haven, the bathroom accessories from 22769 ~ [bauwerk] at the 3rd Birthday Round of The Liaison Collaborative are perfect for any country-style or shabby chic home. The shower, sink, mirror and stool with towels are all part of Paco Pooley and Manuel Ormidale’s offerings at this jam-packed event. Oh, and since it is a birthday celebration, many of the designers have left gifts out for you to pick up! In this case, it is the sweet little aloe plant that comes in both black and white versions. Call them party favours, call them gifts, or just call them a nice thank you for supporting the event and designers; whatever you choose to label them, they are delightful!

TLC runs through the end of March, so don’t waste time cleaning up after yourself – get out there and shop! Those towels will probably be dry by the time you return 😉
