Antipodean Spring

1 LG K Collection So What

After a few cooler days, spring is back. Sunny, breezy, blue skies, pollen. I headed back over to Two Moon Gardens to take a stroll. It’s mainly set up for autumn, but there are pockets of springtime and summer tucked here and there. I admit I felt a bit chilly in my shorts and tank top as I ventured through the gardens to find a sunny spot (hey, work with me here!) but once I started strolling down this colourful garden path, I immediately felt the warmth that we are experiencing in my real world.

And that’s the fun of Second Life – we can experience something similar to our real world, or find something that is totally foreign and even otherworldly.

And even more fun, I can go from a casual outdoor setting to dressing up for a night on the town within moments. I’m just waiting for my date to arrive – I look too hot to be let out on my own 😉

All That Jazz

1 All That Jazz

Come on, babe
Why don’t we paint the town?
And all that jazz

I’m gonna rouge my knees
And roll my stockings down
And all that jazz

Start the car
I know a whoopee spot
Where the gin is cold
But the piano’s hot!

It’s just a noisy hall
Where there’s a nightly brawl
And all that jazz

And all that jazz

And all that jazz

~ Lyrics from “All That Jazz” by John Kander and Fred Ebb in the musical, “Chicago”

I love musicals. When I put on this outfit, the song “All That Jazz” popped into my head – and it has stayed there. Oh, well, it can replace “For The Longest Time”, which had been my ear worm for the past four days. Of course, I had to look up the lyrics because I was only humming it – not a pretty sound!

You can get this outfit by Slacy’s (top and bottoms are system, jacket is mesh) from the new round of The Cosmopolitan Sales Room. And in case you haven’t noticed, I’m loving this bolero hat from JfL!

Here’s the close-up version, in jazzy colour:

Crossing Glanduin

Glanduin

If you recall a few weeks ago when I blogged about Calas Galadhon, I had some problems with textures and only published one photograph. But I did work on another image – the one above from the sim, Glanduin. I tucked this one away and promptly forgot about it.

But there is just something about this vista, with the mountains, the neglected tractor and the little creature who was playing in the meadow with his mate (who darted out of the photo just as I snapped it) that made me want to share it. This is a spot where you can just sit quietly, close your eyes, and imagine the sounds of the river flowing past, the breeze in the leaves and smell the fresh mountain air. It is peaceful and serene. It is the perfect location for quiet reflection or to share with a dear friend or loved one.

I will be going back to the Calas Galadhon Park soon – There are nine more sims to capture my imagination and feed my soul.

I hope to see you there.
