This is Dave’s bed. Those are Dave’s shelves. That’s Dave’s rug. In fact, this is Dave’s room so all of this must be Dave’s stuff. But I have to ask…

Where the hell is Dave???

I guess if I’m stuck waiting for Dave I couldn’t do it in a better place. The bed by Kuro is soft and comfy (despite being built on a platform of cement blocks) and there are a lot of really interesting things to keep my attention. The vast majority comes from 6º Republic. I didn’t think the Industrial theme was my kind of thing, but then I stopped by. Boy, was I wrong! I loved so much that I had to walk around and make a list of all that I wanted and then rank the items so I didn’t go over my budget. Trust me, there is lots more that I couldn’t get, and still more in my inventory that didn’t make it into this photo!

I have to say that Dave has excellent taste, but is just a bit messy. Clothes and shoes on the floor, books scattered about, even candles lit and a cigarette left smouldering in the ashtray. Surely he won’t be gone long?

I also had the time to ponder one burning question:

1 Lake House Exterior Full

It was just a few days ago when I was wondering when Danny Bourne would release a new house. It’s like he read my mind – The Lakehouse is being released this weekend! Like all reBourne Prefabs builds, it is stunning in scale, quality and detail. The concrete construction is given warmth with rough-hewn stone and polished wood. Everywhere you look is another detail to take your breath away.

The angles give the architecture interest and the additions of foliage and water features allow you to feel as if you are at one with the lake. There is even a boat house built into the underside of the structure, allowing you to access your sailboat or rowboat directly from the main house. A Jacuzzi, pool and conversation pit complete with fireplace just add more ambiance to the outdoors, giving you ample entertaining room without going indoors.

Oh, but the indoors are just as stunning. While this house comes unfurnished, it is complete with bath and shower, kitchen island, fireplace and a stunning stairwell. Windows, windows, windows bring the outside in, even when you are cuddled in one of the multiple bedroom or great rooms. And although it is a massive house, it manages to feel cozy.

Joy Fellini has taken a collection of love letters and created a masterpiece. While haute couture isn’t usually my thing, this dress captured my imagination and left me breathless. In stunning detail, Joy’s creation swept me up into the exhilaration of finding a love letter left on my pillow, the fluttering of my heart as I hear the paper rustling, my fingers trembling as I smooth the creases of the letter his hands touched.

Fellini Couture is open in a new location; the store is still being filled with her beautiful and inspired fashions, but it is worth a trip, if only to gasp in awe at her inspirations and the beautiful setting for her store.

Go and visit. Perhaps not better than kisses, but it will touch your soul.
