I have taken a lot of photos in the last week. I mean, a lot, for me. Normally because work has me exhausted by the time I get home Monday through Friday, I rarely get into Second Life, so my weekends are catch up time for my blog. However, with two big events running right now – Vintage Fair and The Liaison Collaborative – I’ve been excited to shoot all of the beautiful items and have been pushing myself to go beyond the usual two or three photos I normally produce.

That being said, I still get a bit overwhelmed and sometimes resort to using my favourite location, rather than creating my own set. So yesterday, after having done three shoots already, I wandered over to Furillen to gather a bit of inspiration to soldier on.

Now, I hadn’t planned on using the billiard table when I arrived (in fact, someone else was there and leaning against it when I wandered into the room), but when he left, I scurried back down to claim my spot. I have done some serious (temporary) derendering in the room to create a more open space, but rest assured, all of Serene’s painstaking decorating will be there when I return.

This outfit just screams femininity. But one of the greatest attributes of any woman is to be able to combine her womanliness with a bit of the vamp. What says that more than an alluring pose on a billiard table? 😉

After the cut, I’ll give you a close-up of the hair, fascinator, necklace and bodice of the dress. They are definitely worth the extra look.

That 70s Pic

I made poor Serene pay for perving me while I was doing my last shoot at Furillen; I needed a male model to pose with me in my 70’s gear from Vintage Fair. Since poor Chance is stuck in a modern hipster look, I dragged Serene over to fill in for my sadly neglected MALT. Didn’t he do it admirably????

I have to give him a special thank you for so gallantly coming to my rescue and posing for me with no complaints. I did do him the courtesy of creating the set and even selecting the pose before I hauled him over; otherwise, I fear the Janitor might have been fired for being absent from his job for too long.

I have no credits for Serene’s look. It is his very unique persona, so if you want to know what he is wearing, you’ll have to ask him yourself!

As for me, as always, the credits for every little scrap of my attire, set and pose are on display for you below.

A Crowded Room

In case you weren’t aware, Furillen reopened last week. With it the snow has returned, and the rooms in the hotel have been imaginatively revamped. In its original incarnation, these rooms were mostly sparsely decorated, but they were still somewhat traditional. That has gone out the window…if you can find one, or even the door! I’m not going to say more about that; you will have to visit Furillen to see for yourself.

There is just something about this sim that makes me want to strip down to my undies. I have taken many, many photographs in the various nooks and crannies – and sometimes, more public spaces – in my lingerie. I do try to be discreet; however, this time, I rezzed my LUMIPro sitball to lock in my pose…and first popped through the roof and then into the room below. Serene, the Janitor of Furillen, was quick to note my scantily clad figure dangling precipitously through the floor. But since my cheeks were already on display, I didn’t worry about the pink hue they took on; despite any embarrassment and a spectacular crash, I finished the shoot.

Now, I didn’t choose just any old lingerie to expose to anyone who happened to be wandering on the sim; I was wearing this evocative teddy from ~Blacklace~ to be released at the upcoming Vintage Fair. It harkens back to a time when the curves of a woman were something to be celebrated – not a cause for shame. And the pose from * La Jolie Rose *, also for Vintage Fair, displays those curves spectacularly with a gentle arch of the back and arms. If you are in need of classic pin-up poses, this is the set for you.
