1 Role Model

I don’t quite have the stance down pat, but I’m working on it! As a role model for posture, Miss Dress Form is perfection.

I mentioned a couple of days ago I seem to be carrying a mannequin theme lately. It honestly hasn’t been a considered idea; it has just happened. I love pulling items out of my inventory, scattering them, taking some back, moving others around, digging for another gem or two. Or six. Or eighteen.

I have several dress forms in my treasure trove (surprise, surprise!), but this one from Apple Fall has to be my favourite. It actually reminded me a bit of the frock I’m wearing from Apple May Designs. The dress comes in four colours, with the pink I am wearing on sale for 50L for a limited time at the main store. What a bargain!

I spent two hours setting up this room for a client shoot. She was a no-show. So instead of getting upset, I decided to use it myself.

How’s that for being a role model for fashion, economics and resourcefulness all in one post? 😉

1 Jane's Bath

Jane’s a lucky girl. She has a lovely bath in a garden, replete with pretty, shiny things. She has the option of allowing herself to air dry after a long, relaxing soak. She has flowers and grass rustling in the breeze, a slow-dripping shower from the watering cans, and sparkling lights to mimic fireflies in the daytime.

She could probably spring for some snazzier towels, but with that air-drying option, she’s still in good shape.

Almost everything in this photo comes from Shiny Shabby. And even the shabby bits are glorious. This round has a huge wow-factor, and I have the diminished bank account to prove it.

I think I’m going to sneak into Jane’s bath to soak away the soreness I developed while flitting around this amazing event.

So I seem to have a mannequin theme going here, lately.

This was an accidental photo after I had spent literally hours on a totally different image wearing a different outfit in a different location using a different pose for the same theme. Don’t you love when a plan comes together? I just wish it had come together before I spent all that time on the other set up!

I was challenged by Rwah to create a photo of myself fixing my shoe. She had been challenged by Len Douglas to take a photo of herself fixing her bra. It was inspired by his photo of himself fixing his tie.

I, in turn, invited Wendz Tempest to create a photo of herself fixing her stocking. Her mission, which she has chosen to accept, is not only to create the image but to challenge someone else to fix something else.

We’re regular McGyvers here. No disrespect intended, Mr Phelps.

When Johnfrancis Laville passed me over this sexy Homberg, he said he wasn’t sure if it would work for a woman. Pffft, I say! What’s sexier than grabbing your man’s hat and slipping it on with a pair of Come Get Me pumps from Essenz and this tiny fishnet top and (broken) panties by Apple May Designs? Especially when you’re comparing yourself to a static model, even if she is dressed only in a rosebud? It’s all about standing next to some(one)thing that doesn’t look as good as you 😉

My mission is complete. *Cue self-destructing tape and sizzling match with cheesy 1960’s theme music*
