I think that’s what Piwnica pod Aniolami means – anyway, it is the best translation from Polish to English I could find for it. All I know is it is a lovely little place in Second Life with a quaint courtyard, a playground and yes, there is an angel hovering. It made a nice backdrop for the new things I found at Collabor88.

The jacket and top, skirt, hair and necklace all came from this event. I picked up a few more things but for me, it was a restrained shopping trip. There are lots of well-made items, but this month’s theme of Supernova just didn’t speak to me. At least not as loudly as this event normally does. Which is probably a good thing, at least for my wallet. I did like that some of the regulars teamed up with another designer to create complimentary items. The bomber jacket and skirt match perfectly and are from a collaboration between House of Fox and Emery. The jacket has the bonus of an optional top you can wear (as I did) with separate alphas to accommodate either look. And although they didn’t make it into the photo, I found a pair of cute shoes from tulip. that are a great match, even though they teamed with ISON.

I’ll close with a photo of the courtyard, without me in it. It is worth a visit, whether you speak Polish or not. Rather like traveling in real life – you don’t have to speak the language to appreciate the beauty of a place.

1 PXL Jade Love Edition

I do love Jade. It is the skin I have worn since it arrived on the scene sometime last year. And I love being a member of [PXL] Creations Women’s VIP Group because Hart Larsson spoils us with lovely skins. The latest group gift is Jade “Love Edition” and she is scrumptious.

This is the Natural tone, the one I almost got when I picked out the Sunkissed and Olive tones I now sport. Next time, I think I’ll forgo the Olive and go with the Natural.

Better Things To Do

Yesterday was the 8th of the month, and I’m sure for 49,127 of the 49,233 people that were online when I logged in, that meant trying to get into Collabor88. Yes, I was one of them, but I only tried once (and failed) and only after I had paid a visit to L’accessoires. My dear friend, Cao, has been teasing us with highlights of goodies from this event all week, so it was my first stop of the day.

This month, it is themed “Timeless Romance,” and it is a gacha event this time around. It is easy to navigate and the crowd was small, so I had no issues with rezzing or lag. What a breath of fresh air for a shopping experience!

And yes, I got the goods – lots of em! In addition to Cao’s blog, I had perused the offerings over on Seraphim, so I knew what I wanted to play for before I arrived. I did well at sticking to the machines I had in mind and I did extremely well at getting the items in the colours I wanted. And while this is an accessories event, I even scored the stunning dress from Shiki I’m wearing.

But, as we know, it’s the accessories that are the star of this event. Here’s a peek at a couple I nabbed:

The earrings from Kunglers are one of my favourite items, and somehow I managed to snag the “P” charm bracelet from .la petite mort. on only the fourth try! That was a huge relief; with the full alphabet set to dispense from the machine I could have been in for a long afternoon – kinda like I was trying to score that sloth hat at that “other” gacha event a couple of months ago 😉

Word of warning: the earrings from Kunglers came in a box with an unpacker, but the earrings didn’t actually transfer to my inventory. I had to dig the boxes out of the trash and open them manually to get them on my ears. Luckily, I hadn’t purged my trash yet, so double check that your stuff is in your possession before you do your housekeeping. I would have cried if the garbage man had been sporting these babies instead of me!

Oh, and if you want a “B” or a “Z” bracelet, I’ve gotcha covered. Just let me know. I’ve got more stuff I’ll try to show off this week, and a few spares if anyone needs some lovely baubles. And since everything is Transfer, I’m letting any guys who read this blog know it’s a great place to go to find a Valentine’s Day gift.

So if you are trying to get into another venue and can’t, that’s ok; there are always better things to do – like feeding your gacha fetish at L’accessoires this month.
