This week, Miss Berry, compliments of Winter Jefferson, wants to know what we think our avatars get up to while we’re offline. I admit I’ve wondered about this myself, so it was really just a matter of shooting a photo to illustrate it.
This is actually a two-part meme. We can choose to do one or both of the challenges. Don’t you love multiple choice exams where you get to pick which questions you answer?
Here’s what we’ve been asked to do:

2. Blog about one of your closest friends in Second Life.

So, to explain my photograph about what I believe my avatar does when I log off: I have long bemoaned the disarray in my inventory. I am fully convinced that Peep, the avatar, waits only long enough for me to sign out to dive headfirst into my inventory and wreak havoc. Undoubtedly, she drags carefully filed items out of their folders back into the root directory, pulls the dozens of items I have put in the trash (but not cleared) and sneakily stuffs them back where they came from, writes notecards to clog up that folder, and yes, even strips off, pulls her hair up, fills the tub and bathes with my shoes!
So, believing I might catch her up to no good, I planned my own sneak attack, logged in as an alt and caught her in the act! Look at her – she doesn’t even have the decency to look guilty! Hell, she doesn’t even have the decency to look decent O.o
I’m only going to do part one of the challenge – as you can probably tell, I’ll be very busy cleaning up this mess and replacing all of the shoes she ruined 😦

hahaha I can totally see your Avatar messing up your closet and mismatching your shoes. Mine is boring. She sits in at her gypsy wagon (new collabor88 item from Scarlet Apple) and ponders about the world. That picture and story will break in about weeks. My avi is in uproar because she will be left alone for 2 weeks but I told her to hush. 😉

That was so funny! I am about doing the challenge, but I am in trouble, because I never thought what my avi would do after I log out. For me is more like an extension of the real me. So is a very hard question. :S hehe.

Moco, I don’t know if you remember, but you did my first professional photo shoot a few years ago – it must be over three years now! Although my avatar has changed a lot, I still have those photos and love them 🙂
Hi Peep yes I do remember! I recall the photoshoot was really fun and you are so kind to say that about the profile photos I took! They don’t compare to the ones you take now which are really fabulous. I decided not to keep up with my profile photography simply because of time and wanted to concentrate on building so am really chuffed you still like and have them 😉
lol if mine are better, it’s only because my avatar has improved over the years! I still love the black and white head shot you did – it’s one of my favourite photos of myself 🙂 And your work is one of the reasons I decided to work on photography in SL when I upgraded my computer. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂
That’s a great thing to say…thak you and I still love the b&w one too that was the ‘Audrey Hepburn’ inspired shot if I remember correctly. I only take profile pics of myself now or the odd one for friends so I still keep my hand in!
That’s probably why I loved it so – I’m a HUGE Audrey Hepburn fan, to the point I named my cat after her 😀
A cat called Audrey Hepburn….I love it! When I upgrade my iMac and we both have some free time we should do new radical profile pics of each other as a blog theme. My current Mac’s graphics card is almost burnt out so typing on my ipad hence all the typos…well that’s my excuse!

Well now, that makes sense: sneaking a luxurious bath (with shoes, no less!)! You keep poor avi Peep so busy when you’re in-world, that I imagine she really looks forward to a good soak and a little quiet time…with her beloved shoes. As they say, I can dig it!
