Well, it took me all day, but I finally managed to get into Second Life to shoot the cover for my new book. Didn’t you know I’m a budding author? The plot is…well, there really isn’t one. It’s just about the frustrations of a forgetful cook. I have to say I don’t tend to lose recipes; I just forget to put the coconut in the ANZAC bikkies 😉

This week’s Monday Meme from Miss Berry is a really fun one. I must say coming up with a book to spoof was kind of hard, but I thought back to the recent book meme and used a book by one of my favourite authors as my inspiration.

I am talking about Stieg Larsson and the first of his Millenium trilogy, “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.” The story is dark, but the characters are unforgettable and I love Larsson’s style of writing. The fact that all three novels of the trilogy weren’t discovered and published until after his death just left me wanting more from this talented writer. So, as my tribute to him I chose to parody my favourite of the three.

There have been several reprints and covers for this book, but I chose the one that is sitting on my bookshelf.
