Pics by Peep

Well, this isn’t the post I had planned for the letter P. I was going to do a Peep post. Between things I have bought myself and gifts I have received, I have a plethora of peeps. However, based on my day in real life, P was for poop. Literally.

You see, the drains for my apartment building were clogged by tree roots and since my apartment is closest to the end of the drainage line, it backed up through the drains in the bathroom and laundry room into my unit. And then, it backed up through my toilet. Four rooms and my hallway were flooded with drain water and even sewage. Thankfully, that last bit was contained to the bathroom which is tiled. But I spent most of my day soaking up water, mopping and trying to dry hardwood floors, bleaching, disinfecting, dealing with plumbers and owners and leasing agents and STRATA management and washing every single rug, bathmat and towel I own. Well, except for two towels, which I reserved for me after my shower…the one that I stayed in until all of the hot water was gone.

After seven hours of cleaning, I thought P might have to be washed away with the poop. But then I saw that I had received the lovely Planetary earrings from [ free bird ] – a rare gacha prize – and I didn’t even have to think. I just slipped them on, added the gorgeous necklace from Cae – both for The Seraphim Social – and snapped a couple of photos. It was exactly what I needed to relax me enough to start to let the aches, pains and stress of the day begin to melt away.

I hope I never have to use the phrase, “P is for poop” ever, ever again!
