I swear I am going to get this post done if it kills me! I have attempted it three times and with the recent changes to WordPress, I keep losing all of the text from my drafts 😦 Somehow, I have managed to get back the previous version of the editor (don’t ask me how; it just spontaneously appeared), so I am determined to get this up before everything in this post is old news!

If you’re like me, you may have been stymied by the Nathalie outfit by Legal Insanity at the Black Fashion Fair this past weekend. Inexplicably, the entire range was shown, but wasn’t set for sale 😦 I’m sure poor DATRIP Blackbard was besieged by IMs and note cards from frantic shoppers trying desperately to purchase this cute set. As you can see from the photo, it is now available so if you missed out on the weekend, be sure to head back.
You’ll also have to wait to snag this adorable hairstyle from *~*Damselfly*~*. It will be featured in the upcoming round of The Theme Park, which begins Friday, August 15. *~*Damselfly*~* was one of the first hair stores I frequented when I joined Second Life almost six years ago. I am thrilled to see they are still pumping out cute styles!

I didn’t even know there was changes until you mentioned it, but I go under dashboard and it was still the same.
It’s weird. If I click on New Post, I get a completely different interface. No matter how much I type, it won’t save the text. The only way I’ve been able to get a post done is to add a photo or title, save the draft, then go into the draft from All Posts on my dashboard. My photos used to default to Large size; now they default to Small and I can’t figure out how to get that changed. Oh, and if I try to edit a post, it goes into the same weird interface and won’t save changes. I have to go into All Posts again to edit it, and it loses all of the spacing. Nothing like being faced with a wall o’ text when trying to find the one line you need to change!
I’ll try to mess around with it this weekend when I have more time…it took me an hour this evening to manage to get this post up, and that just ain’t gonna work 😦
It looks like if I actually go into my Dashboard to click New Post, I get the old interface. It only happens when I click on my blog name in the top right corner of my page and click New Post directly from there. But if I try to click on edit from the bottom of my post, I get the evil version.
Ok, guess I’m going to have to change my habits lol
Haha! Guess we all do things differently. I’m not even sure where edit is on bottom of your post. I have other issues. I type then seems I can’t anymore unless I save the draft then go back to it. Though this only happens if I use my iPad.
That’s weird. It probably is an iPad thing.
The Edit button on the post is at the bottom, at the very end of the tags. They changed that, too, a while back. It used to be a separate button, but now it kind of gets lost in the tags and categories lol
I’m lazy about my basic credits (skin, hands & feet, appliers, lashes) that I rarely ever change, so I just grab it off a previous post. I could do that from the Dashboard, but I like to see the credits (if I’ve got just hands or hands/feet, my tattoo, etc) before I open it up to copy them. I can get them from the new version, but I just don’t understand why it’s changing!

I HATE that interface we get at the top right. HATE IT! It’s *supposed* to be for speed and ease, but I have newzzzz: it’s NOT. (Where do they get these ideas?)

lol apparently they’ve been developing this for over a year. I think they need to put the bugs back in the box before they try to roll it out! ❤
I wasn’t aware they had changed anything and haven’t had any problems (I did a couple of posts yesterday in fact without issue) though I use the Dashboard and, presumably, the ‘classic’ version of the editor. It never ceases to amaze me the number of bugs that turn up in a piece of software when it is turned out into the big wide world, that’s why people do Betas.
It’s interesting how different people do the same thing…differently 🙂 I had always just clicked New Post after hovering over my blog name (it’s just below the Dashboard link). I’ll just do the extra click to start out from the Dashboard, but I am worried that they may get rid of the Classic editor all together and move to the new one. If they do manage to work out the bugs first, I guess it will be ok, but it kind of defeats the point of a blog if none of the text will save!
