My internet connection lately has been more of a nightmare than a dream. I spent several hours on Sunday trying to replace my modem (which I had replaced just a few months ago), only to discover that it is faulty. So I suffered through drops and a slow connection to take this photograph. For the first time in ages, I didn’t shoot on Ultra-high graphics. And I was not happy about it.
Tonight after being booted from Second Life after never fully rezzing and having my browser take minutes instead of seconds to refresh, I called my ISP. After several tests, we determined that I had a bad filter on my line. Instantly I went from a sickening 347 kbps to 7314 kbps with a new filter, I did a little happy dance. Even before I started having these major speed issues, I was only getting around 4350 kbps.
OK, so maybe that’s a bit nerdy; I don’t really care. To me, my internet speed is now the stuff that dreams are made of.

I am always struggling against the internet. Yesterday was told would be down for 24hrs OMG I was like an addict freaking out. But it came back temporarily about 5 hrs later…enough for me to get my fix and tonight seems okay again.
You did well to get flying Peep.
I’m fortunate to have a stable internet connection most of the time. So when I have problems, I feel like I’m cut off from the world.
Maybe I am a bit too dependent on the net…
