I have never been a person who puts up their Christmas tree in RL before the beginning of December. In fact, I won’t be putting one up at all this year. It’s too much of a temptation for my cat and since it’s just the two of us, why test fate? Besides, even after 14 Christmases in Australia, I can’t get my head around Christmas in the summer. It would be my luck to trim my tree and get hit by a bushfire alert and have to take it down.
Instead, I can have a cozy little place in Second Life with a roaring fire, a big, brightly lit tree and even snow falling softly outside. I can even change it on a whim, depending on who is stopping by to visit. Today I brought along Chance to show off this very romantic pose by !bang for this month’s round of TMD. He didn’t bring the mistletoe, but honestly, who really needs it? 😉

And because of this blog today, I got inspired to go set up my own xmas fireplace (even though I live on tropical island lol)
I made (for first time) a brick wall to set the fireplace against so it all ties in nicely.
I found a great sleigh and snowy pines to place outside too.
I cant wait till my Tim see it 🙂

This is the first time since I moved out of a tiny skybox that I haven't lived in the tropics. But I have always put up a skybox with a winter/Christmas theme. Sometimes it hasn't been much more than the fireplace and a small tree, but it's always been there 🙂 What you see is all that I have put up in this attic skybox, but it's still Christmas.
I'm sure that Tim will love it 🙂 And no, mistletoe is NOT required to steal that kiss by the fire 😉
