You Had Me At Coconut Cream

I used to bake a lot of pies. I have a crummy oven now, so I rarely make them any more, but I always loved making my own pie crust, then filling it with something yummy. Toasted coconut flakes atop a pale vanilla custard, brimming with more of those delicious morsels – no meringue – in a buttery, flaky pastry shell. I can taste it now, if I close my eyes and shut my mouth (to prevent drooling down my chin).

I was so excited to see the latest release from {what next} for Collabor88. The “Patisserie” Kitchen Decor set is a baker’s delight. As usual, each item comes with texture-change options and unbelievably, each one weighs in at only one Land Impact each. I remember the days when a single table setting gobbled up 20 or more prims. With this set you can get your bake on with the full set for a grand total of only five LI!

I may just whip up a batch of pie crust later. Writing about coconut cream pie is causing my tummy to growl. More likely, though, I’ll just see how well my memories satisfy my craving…then head to the bakery for a second-rate version I can critique with the hauteur of true Baking Queen.

Cherry Picking

I really don’t like cherries. To eat, that is. But I am drawn to them as decoration; whether as a print on a dress or rings for my ears. Appropriately, the pair I am wearing is from (Yummy) and is a part of the final BishBox. And since I am showing off my bum, it is only appropriate I do it in the recent Tinker Set release from Blueberry. I seem to have a fruit-flavoured theme going here!

I hadn’t mentioned it before, but I recently switched mesh heads from Catwa Lona to May by .LeLutka.. I have always loved the HUD for LeLutka mesh heads, but I kind of stuck with Lona after it was released at Skin Fair. I finally got around to visiting the LeLutka main store and demoing her latest releases. I narrowed my choices to Greer and May, but something about this head just seemed right for me. I had a few appliers and skins for LeLutka, but I wanted something new. I tried several new appliers, but the one that really caught my eye was Jean by itGirls, currently available at Uber. One tip I want to pass along when trying a new skin designer is always try the head applier with the body demo, as well. I really didn’t think Jean would work for me before I matched it with the body applier.

That, my dear friends, gave my new look the cherry on top.
