Furillen flooded last week. Literally. The sim was covered ankle-deep in water. I hadn’t been in Second Life all week, so I took the opportunity to pop over on Friday evening before it disappeared to make way for Pink Floyd weekend. You really should try to get to the sim to see this transformation – it is absolutely incredible what Serene and Mareea Farrasco have done. If you don’t have a chance to visit the sim (it will remain as is through mid-week), do check out the Furillen Flickr stream.

Also plan on a stop at The Liaison Collaborative, while you’re at it. This month’s theme is Dreamweaver, and there are some stunning Southwestern-inspired fashion and home & garden items.

So go shopping. Dance in the rain. Enjoy.

There are only a few days left to enter the Hair Fair 2016 Photo Contest. Entries close on July 1st, so you really need to get snapping!

I have done two entries this year; I don’t think I’ll have time to do anymore, but the limit is five entries, so I have some wiggle room in case I get a bit of inspiration. The photos in this post are my two entries.

Even more important, kits are still available to create your own bandana for Bandana Day! Click the link for all of the instructions on receiving your kit, creating your bandana and what to do once you have it finished. The deadline is July 6th, so you have time to create something amazing! To make it even easier, all you need to create is a texture – the actual bandana is included in the kit! And there is a link to a tutorial on how to do it, so there really is no excuse not to!

For the second year, I will be contributing my own bandana to benefit Wigs for Kids. Nope, I’m not a designer, but if even a few of you take pity on me and make a purchase (still only 50L each – what a bargain!), it will help this marvelous cause that little bit more.

I am even giving you a sneak peek of my creation – look out for it at the Bandana Day booths that will be found on each sim!

1 That 70s Pic sm

I made poor Serene pay for perving me while I was doing my last shoot at Furillen; I needed a male model to pose with me in my 70’s gear from Vintage Fair. Since poor Chance is stuck in a modern hipster look, I dragged Serene over to fill in for my sadly neglected MALT. Didn’t he do it admirably????

I have to give him a special thank you for so gallantly coming to my rescue and posing for me with no complaints. I did do him the courtesy of creating the set and even selecting the pose before I hauled him over; otherwise, I fear the Janitor might have been fired for being absent from his job for too long.

I have no credits for Serene’s look. It is his very unique persona, so if you want to know what he is wearing, you’ll have to ask him yourself!

As for me, as always, the credits for every little scrap of my attire, set and pose are on display for you below.
