A bit of a romantic vintage look today, thanks to the beautiful creations from 22769 ~ [bauwerk], Apple Fall, {what next}, [ keke ] and more. There are several romance-themed events going on this month, and The Liaison Collaborative is a standout. But don’t forget about the joy of wandering into a main store to see the latest releases and perhaps finding a vintage gem. [ keke ] has a few recent main store releases, along with classics you may have missed before. My photo shows several of these hidden treasures; you will just have to visit to get them for yourself.

I found myself relaxing in this vintage room, dreaming romantic dreams…filled with puppies, poufs and pom-poms.

Has she struck a pose on a deserted beach, or fallen as she traverses the dunes in her heels? Perhaps we’ll never know…

What I do know is that the highlight of this photo (besides the landscape) is the detail that both Annie Melson of *Just BECAUSE* and Darling Monday of fri.day bring to everything they create. First, the top; the ribbing pulls in all the right ways and you can easily discern every tooth of the zipper. Then for the shoes – these aren’t just ordinary platform pumps; check out the tiny bow! While 2017 is still in the future for a lot of you, it arrived here nine hours ago for me with little fanfare. I chose to stay home and away from the crowds (and drunks) this time. I heard the fireworks at both 9pm (the family fireworks tradition) and again at midnight. But I was dreaming not long afterwards of a better year to come.

Here is wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2017. The future is our best hope as we try to create the best present ever.
