Fractured Dreams & Broken Cars

Fractured Dreams & Broken Cars

If you ever actually read my credits, you’ll notice that junk. is a frequent flyer in my photos. Not just in the sets I build for photography; Tab Tatham and EvanKeel’s work grace my home in every room. It is not just the style of furnishings and knickknacks that draw my eye – it is the attention to detail, the fabulous textures and imaginative products that make my shabby little heart go pitty-pat-thump.

A couple of weeks ago, junk. moved to a new sim. They were in the process of moving when I was dying to get my hands on their “The poor gentleman’s club shed.” Of course, I had to wait until the new sim opened, so with the eagerness of a child I rushed over as soon as I could on opening day. I got my shed, but so much more…

The sim is a wonder for a “things” lover like me. You can easily forget that you are at a store; it is an incredible venue just for wandering and taking photos. Which I did that day…I wandered, I took photos, I squee’d at their stuff, old and new, I bought more things and had just a wonderful time. It is a fabulous destination and even more so in that you can take the pretties home with you.

To celebrate their grand opening, junk. sponsored a photo contest of images of their sim. After consultation with Rwah (who was right; the original photo was too purple!) I entered the photo above. And to my shock and surprise, I won second place! It was really nice to receive cash as an award, but more importantly, I felt pride that I was able to capture the essence of Tab and Evan’s sim.

Fractured dreams, broken cars and beauty among the castoffs.

Two Sisters, No Credits

1 Two Sisters 2

When I take photos for my blog I am fastidious about taking down the credits. I think it’s important to give proper due to the amazing creators of Second Life.

I’m breaking my own rule here today. I’m blogging and I’m not going to do credits. Not because the creators of everything in this photo aren’t amazing, but because I had no intention of blogging this picture when I took it. It is just a happy snap I took while hanging out with my sis.

I love going to visit Rwah. She’s amazingly talented and it is rare to see her sim looking the same way on two successive visits. But I liked this particular incarnation. So while we were sitting there discussing her latest vision for her space, fashion, men, and life in general, I snuck my view behind us and took this shot. I didn’t let on; I just passed her the raw shot after I had taken it.

It made me happy. Just spending time with Rwah. No pressure to hit deadlines, no clients to prep for, no pressing shopping events I just had to attend. Just two sisters, no credits and a beautiful memory, captured in a photograph.

Pretty stuff I’m showing off:

My sister, myself, a bench (from junk.) and a vista.

Private Instruction

1 Private Instruction

Peep clearly didn’t understand the curriculum of her new school. Being a good girl, she was shocked at being held back after class for detention with Professor Chance. After obediently writing her reinforcement statement on the chalkboard, Professor Chance rewarded her with a lovely ribbon…which he proceeded to tie firmly around her wrists. Guiding her gently to her knees, he continued his lesson, explaining when and why his students are expected to open their mouths. And at no other time…

Whew! I think it’s time for this tutorial to stop. Is it getting warm in here, or is it just me????

The latest round of Romp has opened, and Kuro is offering the desk and chairs that grace Professor Chance’s office. Luana’s kinky side is exposed fully with this group of furniture – both chairs and the desk are available in PG and Adult versions. The desk has a safety feature for accessing the animations – the desktop is bare until you click the key in the drawer, which allows you to rez the desk blotter and accessories. The animations menu is located in the blotter, so if you are worried about nosy neighbours sneaking in for a nooner while you are away, you can change the access to Owner or Group and leave them dejectedly staring at a perfectly good bed alternative with tears of frustration running down their faces 😉

Make sure you visit Romp to pick up these naughty yet delightful items. Now if you will excuse me, I need to do my homework before I meet Professor Chance for another private lesson. I am hoping for straight A’s…it cetainly helps when you enjoy the subject you are studying!
