So, the title is not just a big pun – it’s a clue to my look alike! I guess we all have a doppelganger somewhere, or so we’ve been told. In real life my ex used to tell me I looked like Björk, although I am not Icelandic and would never be caught dead in that dress ! And while I’m not a huge fan of her music, I do love the theatrics – and irony – of her song, “It’s Oh So Quiet“. She and I are so not quiet!

However, Miss Berry wants to know who our avatars look like. I’ve never been compared to anyone and I haven’t modeled mine after anyone so I needed a little help. I had just seen a celebrity look-alike app on Facebook one of my friends has used (and I am not linking to because I don’t recommend it), but I popped my profile pic in and it generated…

I guess there is a resemblance in the face shape, but that’s about where it ends. However, I’m not going to complain about being compared to FHM’s 2007 Sexiest Woman In The World 😉

I think I’m happier with Jessica, or even Björk. I mean, I like gerbils, but not that much 😉

250th post JaxBrightNites

On January 21, 2013 I started this little blog. That’s 287 days ago, or as I hit Publish on this entry, 250 posts. I honestly didn’t think I would last this long – or at least have this many posts in this amount of time. I actually didn’t notice when I hit 200 posts, so when I realised I was creeping up on 250, I decided to do a post specifically for that event.

Pippi Moonites has created another sweet animated top (like the Halloween dress I showed about a week ago) utilising the scripted technique her husband lovingly created for her. This is a casual, everyday top that is anything but ordinary. You can pick up this one, plus two other colours at this round of the Cosmopolitan Sales Room. Rumour has it more colours will be released later at her mainstore.

I tried to do this photo the easy way, using the Gyazo GIF creator Hart Larsson so kindly pointed me to, but I couldn’t get the image to upload to my blog 😦 So, I took a lot of photos of the top, trying to capture each frame of the animation – not an easy task! But even with twenty shots, I only managed to pick up three distinctly different images. But this time I didn’t curse nearly as much when I created the GIF in Photoshop, so I guess the pain of my first attempt ingrained the lessons into my poor little head 😀

These are totally raw shots, and although I could have adjusted the lighting, smoothed out the edges and done some shading, I must say I am thrilled with Esteban’s performance. And besides, the shirt is the highlight of this post – who cares if my nose is a little wonky? 😉

It’s all about the glitter and glam.
