I have felt a bit lost since Furillen closed a couple of weeks ago. It is where I would go to just unwind and as it turned out, where I took some of my favourite photos. So I have been wandering around the grid, trying to find someplace that gives me the same inspiration.

I have visited a lot of wondrous sims, but more often than not, I have just been a spectator, never pausing long enough for a photo.

That changed yesterday when I visited The Hell’s Haven. It is misty and haunting, but much more of a haven than hell. Snoobjohnson, the builder, has chosen a very effective Windlight setting – something that I have discovered few builders have done. While this photo is post-processed, I used the region settings for the shot.

The whole point of my trip – other than to explore – was to find a setting to show off the Harper clogs from fri.day for Shiny Shabby. Maybe I’m a bad blogger for not just doing a “look of the day” shot that shows nothing but the fashion l’objet du jour, but that’s just not my style. I prefer to try to make them a focal point in a lovely location.

At Hell’s Haven, I hope I accomplished that.

Lemon? Sugar? Mint? However you prefer your tea, I’ve got it covered! Even if you choose to ruin your tea with cream, it’s all here!

[ keke ] is releasing the “Hard to find 2” set for the upcoming round of Lost & Found. It is a follow up to the original full dining set, which she released last year. The items you see here, plus stacks of cups, plates and bowls, are a perfect accompaniment for this set, or work great as stand-alone props. The gold colour you see in my image is from the lighting I chose; they are pristine white or pale mint in reality, so they will go with any decor.

Lost & Found starts May 22nd and only runs for two weeks, so be sure to mark your calendar; you don’t want your tea to go cold.

I was very happy to see that Strawberry Singh started her memes back a few weeks ago. Before her hiatus, I participated regularly; but this is the first one I have managed to do in recent times. No matter how busy I have been in real life, the Second Life Movie Poster Challenge from 2013 was one of my very favourites, and I wasn’t about to miss out this time!

For those of you who want to participate, here are the instructions:

Meme instructions: Create a movie poster for your Second Life Avatar or SLife. You can base it off an original movie poster or think of a completely new idea of your own! Please be careful of copyright issues and try not to use copyrighted elements in your work. Remember to share a link to your poster in the comments (of Berry’s post) and the Blog Memes Flickr Group. You don’t have to have a blog to do this challenge, you can share your image on any social platform you prefer.

In keeping with my original meme, I decided to play on my name. After wracking my brain for movies with “sleep” in the title, I settled on Sleeping Beauty. Thankfully, with the different eye positions available with my CATWA head, it was relatively easy to create a photo with one eye closed and one eye open. And like the last time, I found myself giggling as I created this poster.
