Yes, I’m back! I’ve had a virus and I just haven’t felt like going into Second Life OR blogging using some older photos. So rumours of my needing bail have been largely exaggerated 😉

So to try to get back into the swing of things, I’m going to combine my inventory meme with some photos of some of the awesome things to be found at this month’s two-year anniversary round of Collabor88. Yeah, I know, you’ve not seen any of this stuff before (inserts sarcastic wink here). But I’m going to put a bit of a twist on the Serpent HUD poses found at Collabor88. This is one of the sexiest pose props I’ve seen in a long time. I’m not going to paint you a picture of Eve’s temptation, the very phallic symbolism of the serpent or even describe the ripples of chills I felt as this slithering snake wound himself around me…

No, the twist is, I’m clothed.

I’ve seen quite a lot of photos with this fella on Flickr, and they have been almost exclusively nudes. Don’t get me wrong; it works, and from the vendor photos shot by Strawberry Singh for creator Rogan Diesel, that is probably the most relevant application of this series of poses. But dayum! I think it works, even when wearing a little slip of a dress, a boyish haircut and the subtle curves of a woman.

As long as I have been reading Berry’s blog (about three years now), she has always bemoaned the state of her inventory. And with over 100,000 items, I honestly can’t blame her! So it is fitting that she has chosen this subject – a sore point with a LOT of residents of Second Life.

Here’s what we’re supposed to do:

1 What is your current inventory number? – 65,802 (I stupidly checked this after I had nearly bought out Collabor88 and opened everything or it would have been a lot lower. I also forgot to empty my trash 😦 )

2. If you had to delete your whole inventory and could only keep one thing, what would it be? – CD, my Cyber Ducky. Although I don’t wear him often in my blog posts, he was not only a gift from a dear friend, but he is an Ultra Rare item from 7Seas Fishing, so my chances of finding another one are slim to ducking none!

3. What is the last thing you purchased? – The hair I’m wearing in these photographs ( [monso] My Hair – Yong/ Red by Morphine Janick)

4. Which item do you wear most often? – Besides CD, I’d have to say my Amacci Gaze Eyes. I’ve recently been wearing a pair of a similar colour from Mayfly, but I always go back to my Ocean Blues after a couple of days.

5. When you search for the word penis, how many items pop up? (NO LYING!) – Two. One is a penis gun and the other is a photo of a friend wearing a cartoon penis avi. The name of the photo is “My Penis Pic” 😀

So, there we have it. I’m sure you will all sleep easier tonight knowing that my inventory is smaller than Berry’s and I have two peens. And if you hear me talking about a snake in the grass, it’s not my ex – it’s my new writhing, wriggling friend.

I think I’ll name him Dick 😉

Ah, the stereotypical pick-up line gets a fresh twist! This week, Berry want’s to know, “What’s your sign?” But more than that, she wants to know our feelings about astrology and to illustrate our posts with an image that reflects our signs.

Here’s what we’re supposed to do:

1 What is your birthday and/or Zodiac sign? – My birthday is December 27, making me a Capricorn, the Goat (thus, the horns).

2. Do you believe in or follow astrology? – No, not at all. I have a general idea of when a few star signs fall, but for the most part I don’t give it much credence.

3. Do you feel your sign’s attributes reflect who you are? – I had to look them up lol but a lot of them do seem to fit. I am pragmatic, I have a strong work ethic (although I attribute that more to my upbringing that to my star sign), I can be cynical, appear to be stand-offish and I can be funny. What doesn’t fit is the materialistic traits. I’m not into status symbols and while I am ambitious, I am not cut-throat. I am not tight-fisted. And I am certainly not afraid to show the softer, more emotional side of myself.

4. Have you ever been to a psychic or astrologer either in RL or in SL (are there any in SL?) Newp. Although I did spring for the free astrology birth chart from Cafe Astrology 😉

5. Do you read your horoscope daily and try to follow any advice, recommendations or warnings it may have for you that day? Never. I have glanced at them in magazines or newspapers while waiting in a doctor’s office, but I have never sought out astrological advice.

6. Do you have very strong feelings about astrology, either negative or positive? My ambivalence could not be greater.

I’m not sure why I chose latex to wear with my horns. But hell, I figured if I was going to look horny, I may as well look sexy 😉

What an honour! This week Berry has made it possible for us to travel the grid with CEO of Linden Labs, Rodvik Linden (aka, Rod Humble). She said she did this because she likes goofy stuff; I think she really did it so she could mark the “Dance with a Linden and/or Hamlet” item off her Bucket List 😉 Whatever her reasons, this has got to be one of the silliest – and most fun – memes she’s done. I have giggled my way through the photos on Flickr and the few other blogs I have read. I can’t wait to read the rest!

Before I start my day with Rod, here’s what we are supposed to do:

Meme Instructions: Pick up a Flat Rodvik Linden from my marketplace store for free. (Or make your own using my image or your own image of Rodvik.) Wear or rez him as you travel the grid. Take him to places you think he might not have seen yet and show him a good time. Don’t forget to leave a link to your post or images in the comments of this post so we can all come by and see where you took him!

My first stop with Rod was the Love Donna Flora event. We paused in the lovely courtyard at the landing point to take the photo above, but as we started down the hill toward the stalls, I thought I heard him mumble something about the lag, so I tucked him back into my inventory. I was happily shopping and didn’t hear another word from him until I passed the Poet’s Heart booth when I swear he whispered, “You look lovely in pink but I think you would look better in yellow.”

So I bought it 😉 And headed home with Rod.
