Wild Roses In The Snow

[ keke ] has released several flowers over the past few months, but these wild roses are by far my favourites. From the variety (nine different stems/groups in each pack) to the painstaking detail to the sheer beauty, they are simply exquisite. There are four colour groups – blush, purple, white and pink – but the pink is definitely my first choice. Depending on the light, they are either a subtle pink or a much deeper colour – in fact, almost red.

You can find these lovely roses at Lost & Found through October 1st.

The Second (Almost) Annual UnEVENTful Challenge

I hadn’t planned on doing a second post today, but it’s turning into a day of seconds.

Earlier, in the SL Blogger Support group chat in world, we got into a spirited discussion about “the old days,” back before shopping events became the way to shop. About the competition to find the latest, best, newest releases and the race to be the first to blog them. About grid-hopping parties, where someone would take the lead and mass TP a group of followers all around the grid. Yes, those good old days…

During the course of the conversation, I mentioned that a while ago (unbelievably to me, over two years ago!) I posted a challenge I called The Uneventful Challenge. In this challenge, you are not allowed to wear/show anything that has been purchased at an event. Before I could blink, I was being asked to revive the challenge. With input from this enthusiastic group, I am tweaking the rules from the original, and I have created a Flickr Group for everyone to add their photos.

Deliver Me

If you are looking for a rather seedy location to wander or take photographs, then check out Pravum Est. Fair warning: this is a VERY adult location that is packed full of not just depravity, but loads of photo ops. From the very blasphemic church (the location of my shot) to the ultra-seedy motel and XXX book store, it has plenty of opportunity for not just pictures, but a down and dirty rendezvous – your choice. With swirling ground fog, dark woods and tunnels, it is a location that will fuel your nightmares…or wet dreams, depending on how you choose to spend your time there. You won’t find any zombies or monsters, but do be careful about interacting with the ladies of the night who hang out around the motel and book store. They aren’t big on talking, but I certainly wouldn’t trust them with my wallet.
