A Peep At Peep – My Seven SL Facts Meme

1 Ducky_038a

Another challenge brought to you, compliments of Strawberry Singh! The challenge is to create a meme about your Second Life and blog it.

The first is to share seven facts about yourself in Second Life which may or may not be known to other people.

So, here we go!

Fact #1 My first job in Second Life was as a dancer in a booby club. This was LONG before Lolas were around and the prim boobs were truly horrendous! I was so scarred by this experience I’m more than happy to sport C cups in SL now.

Fact #2 I wasn’t a huge fan of ducks before I was given my Cyber Ducky, who rarely leaves my shoulder now.

Fact #3 I get dizzy even riding swings in Second Life. Which is why, when I won a custom bike a couple of weeks ago, I turned it into a pose prop 😀

Fact #4 I always try to correct typos when I’m chatting before I hit enter. If I miss one and notice it afterwards, I rarely correct it in a separate line. I figure people know I can spell and I don’t have to prove it. The only exceptions are when my cat walks across my keyboard or an inadvertent typo is…um…a bit rude:
[01:55] Þєєþ Ðαгкшαгđ (peep.sideshow): lol it was thirsty
[01:55] Þєєþ Ðαгкшαгđ (peep.sideshow): drinking my cock
[01:55] Þєєþ Ðαгкшαгđ (peep.sideshow): OMG!!!
[01:55] Þєєþ Ðαгкшαгđ (peep.sideshow): COKE!
😮

Fact #5 I love my booty in Second Life. In fact, I would give my ex-husband’s right arm to have it in RL!

Fact #6 I have a ridiculously large inventory full of the silliest things. A favourite game that one of the DJ’s I used to work with liked to play was “What’s In Peep’s Closet?” The object of the game was to get guests to call out an item and see if I had it. I think I was stumped twice (due to Fact #3, I don’t have a lot of vehicles).

Fact #7 While I was a dancer (see Fact #1), I was asked by a patron how much I would charge for sex. I jokingly said, “10,000L”. I heard the ‘Kerching!’, my bank balance was 10,000L higher and I was so horrified I paid it back and logged off without saying a word!

That’s about it. Not exciting, and probably not surprising. But it was fun!

Scattered Collabor88ion – A Close Encounter

As promised yesterday, I am now bringing you the second part of my scattered thought process from my previous post. After accidentally zooming in while resting on my window seat, I snapped a few shots.

These are the result:

I like the softness of each of these shots. I like to feel feminine, and these seem to portray that. I did a fair bit of processing on each of them, except for the last one, layering effects to achieve the results. I’m using the first one (with my name added) as my current SL profile pic, although I think I like the second one better. Alas, it’s not cropped properly for the profile picture format and I’ll be damned if I can redo the shot in that size to make it look the same!

As I said before…bad photographer for not writing down my steps 😦 Maybe now I’ll learn!

By the way, the phoneography challenge taught me one thing. I started this post last night on my computer, but I was able to finish it on my phone during lunch!

Scattered Collabor88ion – The Dilemma

This post is a bit scattered in its theme. Kind of suitable for my frame of mind right now. Originally, it was going to be yet another Second Life fashion post with items I purchased from a fantastic fashion sales event in Second Life, Collabor88. It’s one of my favourite monthly events with some beautiful designs from some of the top creators in Second Life – one that is guaranteed to zap my wallet on the eighth of every month!

But then, I started processing the photos I took, and I found one image that I kept playing with. I don’t normally use cross processing, but with the lighting I used, it seemed to work well with this particular shot. So then, I decided I would make this a post about using different techniques, while still featuring the lovely items I bought.

Ah, but I also took some close ups. So of course, I wanted to highlight those head shots that seem to bedevil me with the details.

What’s a girl to do? I’ve decided to do a two-part post. Today I’ll highlight the fashion items and the technique and tomorrow I’ll post the close-ups. Yes, it’s a Two-fer! 😀

This is the photo that began my dilemma. I have done nothing to this shot except cropping.

This was taken in the bedroom of our Second Life home. The pink and purple hues you see are created by lighting. The room is nowhere near this colour. So, I tried my hand at a bit of cross-processing to try to get it closer to the original without losing the highlights I was able to achieve with this particular Windlight setting (and don’t ask me which one is was; I just flip through them and shoot if I like the way it looks. Bad photographer, I know!)

These photos are still nothing like the original colours, but I loved the soft pastel hues.

Cross processed with blue, and closer to the real colours:

So, that’s a wrap up of my scattered, un-themed post for today. Please stay tuned tomorrow for part two.

But for now, this is The End 😉
