Creating Kaos

1 Kaos_094J1a

Well, maybe not creating Kaos, but helping him to recreate himself.

Kaos is a good mate of mine. He’s a very direct, in-your-face kind of guy. He’s also a DJ, a musician and a fitness fanatic. He’s a very blokey bloke, with a sharp wit and a keen sense of humour. He comes across to a lot of people as a smartass, but that’s probably because they’re not used to his tell-it-like-it-is personality.

K has been through a lot lately, both in Second Life and real life. Some good, some not so good. But K isn’t one to dwell on the negative. In fact, he hates negativity of any kind, as he will soon tell you. Sometimes he lets himself slip into that space, but it’s not long before he bounces back, sassy as ever.

I’ve recently seen the softer side of K. I won’t say he has a vulnerable side, but he definitely has more facets than an acquaintance or passerby would normally see. When he asked me to redo his profile pictures, he wanted me to show the tougher side, but also the part of him he’s let me see recently. To me, that was his heart – open, caring and mortal, just like the rest of us.

Here you go, K-Hole…these are how I see you. Bad boy with a touch of sensitivity.

The Self We See

How do we define ourselves? Is it by our jobs, our affiliations, our family? Or is it something we see when we look in the mirror? Or when we look inside ourselves?

This week’s prompt for Single Frame Stories is “Self”. I have decided that this week I’m going to do more than one photo of my interpretation of Self. I don’t think I can truly show myself as I see me with a single picture. So I plan on having more than one entry this week.

This version is the Self I would like to be – elegant, sophisticated, beautiful.

1 Self

No, I would never believe this to be how I truly define myself. But it’s a version I can aspire to become. And dream of being when I drift off to sleep, a small sigh escaping my perfectly curved lips.

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Above – A Bird’s Eye View

This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is to take a photo from a different perspective – from above. I must say, I spent a lot of time today looking around some amazing places in Second Life, trying to find a shot from above that I thought would be something special. Alas, I was still trying to find the perfect location when it was time to go to work at Breaking The Rules. I hosted my shift, then was hanging out for a while, thinking I needed to go find something for this challenge.

For some reason, I cammed up, and when I looked down, there was the BTR logo in the middle of the dance floor. It was around 2:30am PST (that’s Second Life time), and there were still several people in the club. I snapped off a few shots, threw in a couple of effects, et voila! A bird’s eye view of Breaking The Rules 🙂
