Myst

I had an opportunity to do client photos for Myst. She comes to the club where I work frequently, and she wanted photos for her profile, her picks section and also to display at home. She requested photos that were romantic and soft, but she also wanted photos that showed her biker girl side. I found both of these styles fun to work with.

Myst’s boyfriend came with her to the shoot. I love when my clients bring someone with them. I don’t talk much while I’m shooting, so having someone there helps us both to relax – the client, so she doesn’t get bored and me, so I’m not worrying about talking while I’m working. I kind of zone in on what I’m doing, so I’m not much company 😉

While I was doing Myst’s shots, she asked if I could do one of her and her boyfriend together. I was happy to comply.

Myst supplied the poem that I added to their photo. I’m not sure who wrote it, but my apologies to the author for not citing your work.

Lovely Myst. Lovely lady.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Color – Once In His Life…

Once in his life, every man is entitled to fall in love with a gorgeous redhead – Lucille Ball

I love Lucille Ball and I love this quote. In real life, I’m a brunette, but as the saying goes, “The sun on a brunette’s hair looks red. The sun on a redhead’s hair looks like Heaven on Earth.” I’ve always loved the red glints the sun gives my hair. And I’m a bit fiery, like redheads are purported to be. So in Second Life, I’m a redhead…most of the time 😉

This week’s photo challenge is color. The instructions are:

IN A NEW POST CREATED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PICTURE IN WHICH COLOR TAKES CENTER STAGE.
You can post a single photograph featuring your favorite color or many colors, or take one of your images and experiment with color effects in a photo app or online photo editor (which we introduced in some of last month’s posts). For those of you up for a multi-photo challenge, play around with this theme in a gallery. A few ideas:

A gallery of contrasting colors
A gallery of objects focused on one color
A macro photography collection of flowers
A set of bold street art from your travels

I chose to highlight my red hair. I took these photographs at a sim called Vintage Vinyl Records & Cafe, another beautiful location I found through the Second Life Destination Guide. This was the first time I had ventured away from the studio with my LUMIPro Hud. I loved being able to adjust my lighting and eye position on the fly – although I’m sure I got some funny looks from the other people exploring the sim when I rezzed my three lighting balls 😀 But I didn’t really care…I was just thrilled by the possibilities it gave me.

Each of these photos was processed using the technique called Lomo. It truly makes my red hair my shining glory.
