Ugh. I wasn’t going to do this meme. I was firmly convinced that I would tuck it in the “too hard basket” and let it rot. I’ve done that a couple of times with Miss Berry’s Monday Memes and I’ve felt guilty each time I have skipped one. Not because I skipped it, but because I allowed it to sit in that ugly basket that clutters a dusty and dark corner of my mind.

I actually started to write this yesterday, going so far as to copy the questions into a post, but then I stopped. Self-examination is never easy and yesterday I was having a blue day. Looking into myself and facing my faults wasn’t going to happen. It was easier to curl up on the couch with my cat and my Kindle and play Scarlett.

But this morning, armed with a cup of tea and a more positive outlook, here I sit. I’m still not entirely comfortable with my answers, but here they are. After all, tomorrow came and it is another day.

In The Darkness

My friend Rwah is not only the Queen of the Black & White, she is also the person who gifted me the house where this photo was taken. I can’t come close to capturing the mood she does in a black & white photo, but this is my tribute to her. Click the link to check out Rwah’s blog. She occasionally does colour photos but she is a true master of the black & white.

This isn’t a completely raw shot, but all I did was take the original and convert it to black & white. That’s about as close as I come to publishing a non-edited photo.

I took this photo looking out of the upper window of the Scarlet Apple Neva Captain’s House. It was a gift from my friend, Rwah. I landed there on accident. Well, actually, since there is no direct access to the upper level, I had to get up there. After floating/flailing for several minutes and double-click TPing multiple times I managed to land in front of the window. For in a seafarer’s cottage that window must be accessible – so the captain’s love can watch for his return.

There will be more, Rwah. Thank you for this wonderful gift ❤
