And She Whinges

Yep, I’m gonna whinge (whine) a bit today.

I haven’t been feeling too well and I should be working on photos I shot for a friend on the weekend, but I just don’t seem to have the energy or concentration to give them the attention they deserve. But I wanted to post something today, so I clicked through a folder of older shots I took for an image I could work with.

I recently changed to a lovely, pale skin by Tuli, Helena. And I love it. But I also love the Meg skin I previously wore by Akeruka. This was a shot I took when I wore that skin daily. It was originally a much darker photo I had bypassed, but I’ve been playing around with tinting and curves and decided it would be a good practice shot before I go back to working on what I should be doing instead.

I always feel a bit pouty when I wear this skin. Kinda like I do today – just sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.

A Gift To My Heart

It’s not often that I have a lot of free time when I’m in Second Life. Aside from my business, I also work at a club. So most of my time is spent either working or doing something to do with work, in one way or another (ok, I guess I qualify shopping as part of work – I need new clothes and poses and props for work..right?). But today my photo shoot was postponed until tomorrow, I’d done my photos for today’s blog – and completed it, and still had time to kill before I had to be at the club to host. My sister, Butter (Abbie to the rest of the world) IM’d me and told me she was house hunting. We chatted in IM for a while, then she invited me over.

We ended up putting up a house I had in my inventory for her. It’s “girlier” than her previous homes, but she liked it. And she blamed me for turning her into more of a girl – achievement! \o/ And then we just hung out. Talking and giggling, like sisters do.

It was a great day. I didn’t realise how much I missed just playing in SL. There’s more to it than work, for sure. And thank you, Butter, for reminding me ♥

Sticky Sweet

I’m a bad blogger 😦 I missed the Weekly Photo Challenge yesterday and didn’t blog at all. I’m using the fact that I had a roaring headache all day and the cold/flu/ickiness that I thought I was over seemed to have come back. I guess a day of playing couch potato helped though, because I’m feeling much better today.

I did spend part of my slothful time checking out some of my favourite blogs. And of course, this one by Chic Aeon caught my eye – food and fetishes? Hmmm…yeah, that works for me! Certainly, waffles are delectable, but this girl went straight for the cupcakes!

These pose props, part of the SugarRush Calendar set from (*chanimations, are nothing but fun! They are cleverly named (Waffellatio?!, OrangeOrgy and Ice My Berry are just three that had me giggling) and highly detailed with loads of options for utilising the poses. While I didn’t spring for the full 12-month calendar pack, I did grab another set. But you’ll have to wait until another day to see the other one I chose. Right now, I’m sticky sweet and heading into a sugar coma 😉
